Mission 8 -- Terror on the Enterprise...

Wesley:
Suddenly we where on The Enterprise. I was lying in the transporter room. Orchidee looked beautiful in this light, but she looked scared.  Suddenly two lieutenants came in. Then i saw it. Her corner-teeth started to grow, like a wolf. Her fingernails blue at first…before they started growing and became red. I knew what it was…poison. She acted like a cat, but then like a  Tiger...she attacked…

Geordi:
I looked at Commander Riker and Guinan. He was smiling that stupid smile. I like Riker as a friend, but sometimes he doesn't know when  not to joke. He was properly making a joke on Wes expense. I walked out. Suddenly I heard a voice yell as I passed the Transporter
Room. "Help!"
I ran in, to see two Lieutenants down, and a beautiful…alien…standing over them, blood running down her nails. "Get down!" Wesley yelled to me.
I threw myself on the ground as she jumped over me and out the hall.  She was fast, too fast for me. When I looked out there was no one there. I looked at Wesley. "You're alive"
"Yep. Get mom over here…her nails has poison" he said trough his teeth. I took a look at his lag. Serious…but it could be fixed. Right now the two Lt.'s where screaming. "LaForge to Dr. Crusher. I'm in Transporter room 4. We have three people down. And Wesley is fine, but he needs some help with his leg" And his butt when Picard got to him, I reminded myself. "Captain, the being is on the loose. She's dangerous. You wouldn't a have problem finding her, how many blue girls with red hair do we have around here?" I smiled.

Dr. Crusher:
Beverly who had been silent since she found out her son, had once again taken a shuttle heard the news of Wesley being onboard once more So she headed for the transporter room. "Wait till I get my hands on him.." She muttered as she left to find him...
Arriving in the Transporter room she suddenly didn't know what to say, her son had never acted this way. Something was definetly wrong, she saw him and just couldn't say anything to him but..."Why Wesley..What has gotten into you?"
    tag-Wesley or anyone

Santiago:

The communication was heard throughout the Bridge, and Santiago accessed the crew roster. "Well actually we have five Andorian women, but none have red hair."

Picard:
I nodded to Yar and she along with Worf were on their way to the transporter room to assess the security situation. A beat later, Crusher left the bridge after a medical call from LaForge.
I turned back to the viewscreen, looking down on the troubled planet of Perrati, yet more concerned with the 'alien' loose on my ship.

Carmen/Santiago:
"Could we get help?" Carmen asked pointing to the two Perrati ships that remained in view.
Santiago looked over. "I don't think it's worth the risk, though we might be able to get a berth at a starbase over Perrati IV or V. That would let us go over the ship from stem to stern." Santiago mused on the thought for a moment then prepared to address the Captain, but as he did his eyes fell to the tactical console. "Command is calling, sir."

Data:
I was off duty when I heard the alert klaxons sound and an order fromthe Captain to report to the bridge. There was an intruder alert on board the Enterprise and Starfleet procedure dictates general order 00093691, all senior staff must report to their stations in any red alert situation.
I had been painting as per Geordi's suggestion, to help me develop my creativity and though I do not require rest, Captain Picard has ordered me to have every third shift off duty out of the standard three shift day onboard a Galaxy Class Starship. Though I pointed out to him that I do not require a daily rest period like those necessary for biological lifeforms,he replied that it would allow me time to pursue my "insatiable curiosity regarding the human equation," and give me a chance to "explore my humanity." I was about to point out that I am an android and not a human but the expression on his face told me that he would make it an order if I were to contradict him, so I decided not to pursue the point.
I walked out the door of my quarters and proceeded to make my way to the bridge.

Wesley:
I looked at my mom. "Ehh...I don't know how to explain this....You see. Orchidee, the alien, was inside my head..and" I Paused..."You don't believe me do you?

Geordi:
I looked at Wesley as he tried to get a way out of the mess. But if you ask me that would be hard. He had already broken several rules, gone AWOL, acting irresponsible and let a dangerous alien loose. If you ask me he's in deep shit.
I walked out, thinking that I might run into that strange creature named Orchidee....I was sure that was a flower. I stopped when I heard screaming.

Wesley:
I looked at my mom. "Ehh...I don't know how to explainthis....You see. Orchidee, the alien, was inside myhead..and" I Paused..."You don't believe me do you?
I could see it, she was worried. And she was right, Ididn't do things like this. I thought for a momentabout what my mom had just gone trough, my dad died ona away-mission. What if...
I threw Geordi a glance. He nod and walked out.
I stopped. "I'm sorry, mom...She fooled me" I realizedit now., She had been to arrogant when she came to me.And she hadn't said a true word about her speice...except from the mind-thing. "Mom" i finalysaid. "She's dangerous. She's deadly"

Yar:
The turbolift stopped and the doors slid aside too slowly, if you asked me. Worf and I eased out onto the deck several sections away from transporter room 4.
Worf opened his tricorder and scanned the area. "No alien life signs, Lieutenant." he reported.
"Then..." I said, pointing to the alien approaching us slowly, "...what is that?"
I eased my hand to my phaser as the alien, humanoid with luminescent  blue skin and wild red hair, stalked down the corridor in our direction. She seemed to sniff the air, perhaps in search of prey.
"Yar to Picard. We have her Captain, or else we found her. Deck 11, section 4," i whispered after tapping my communicator.
I heard the forcefields snap into existence around the section. We had her...at least I thought we did...

Data:
The turbolift stopped, the doors opened and I walked out onto the bridge, around and down the horseshoe platform and took my position at ops.

Dr. Crusher:
Beverly tried to believe her son, for she had always had faith in him to be honest about everything...but this was so far out there.Even to stretch to get it was hard..
She thought about how to say this to him without making him feel like he was 5 again.. "Wesley, I do believe you though it's sounds so crazy..I am just so worried about you, and everything has been happening so fast around here.." She stopped and took a long look at her son..admiring how he had turned out such a wondeful young man...then she gave him a warm smile.."Alright, enough of that, I wont lecture you on how or what shouldn't have happened as long as you promise me that you'll be careful next time, ok.. And since there is no one around, could you give your mother a hug.." She said smiling..knowing how that embaressed him more than anything...*after all this ends I'm going to 10 Forward * she thought as she waited for Wesley to reply
    tag- Wesley

Wesley:
"Mom..." I whispered, but I was glad she wasn't mad.And the hug helped. "I love you" I said.
But then the pain from my leg. I bit down a scream.

Beverly:
Besides being a mother she was also a Doctor. SHe could tell that during the hug with her son she felt him tense up..."I love you too son," Pulling back she looked at him to see his face..."Are you ok? ANd please don't lie to me..you're hurt aren't you."

Geordi:
I heard someone yell. Quickly I grabbed my phaser. But I wasn't fast. And that's when she attack me.

Yar:
The female alien bared her teeth and stepped, unhithered, through the forcefield toward Worf and me.
My phaser was pulled and firing as she advanced on us.
The longer I stared at her, the less humanoid she seemed to be.  "She's mutating!" I screamed as my phaser deflected off her and burned a hole in the bulkhead.
She hissed at me, then turned, darting down the intersecting corridor. We gave chase as she ran, her legs growing longer and more muscular, her red hair, longer and wilder with each passing moment.
A young ensign, startled by the sudden appearance of the alien, screamed in horror.
The alien, Orchidee as she was named, slammed the ensign to the ground, jumping over her prone body and onto Lt. Commander Laforge who stood near the turbolift. She clawed at his throat and face. He, however, was able to block her.
Without a second thought, I jumped on Orchidee's back, covering her eyes and digging my fingers into the tender sockets. She howled, jumping back and slamming herself and me against the wall.
The air knocked from my lungs, I landed with a thud on the deck. Orchidee staggered into the open doors of the turbolift, her long thin fingers covering her now bloody eyes.
"Computer," I gasped. "Seal turbolift 7."

Santiago:
Santiago kept an eye on his sensor readings. "Someone just sealed turbolift seven. The alien is in it, so it must have been security that sealed it."
After a moment the life sign began moving. "The creature is out of the lift and is now climbing up the tube. I am rerouting an empty lift to block off the deck above her, this should hopefully trap her."
Santiago looked over to the command chair. "What should we do Captain?"

Picard:
"What should we do Captain?" Santiago's question echoed in my head.
"Transporter room," I called into the air. "Lock onto the alien and keep her suspended until we can figureout what to do with her."
"Aye, sir," came the transporter chief's reply. A moment later, "Captain, the creature is..."
I didn't have to hear the rest of the report. I turned as the figure of a large alien female materialized on the bridge.
    "What the hell!" I yelled.
The female creature took in her surroundings as her body, seeming to be in continious metamorphosis, stretched and bulged.
"Captain, she's frightened. She wants to leave here and go back to her planet," Sojani cried out, as thecounselor clutched her head obviously having difficulty probing the alien's mind. "She doesn'tbelong here, sir. She's...not from our dimention."
I didn't have time to question Sojani on exactly HOW she knew that. "How did she get here?" I asked.
Sojani paused, "She seems to think it had something to do with the explosion. She was someone pulled fromher dimention into ours."
I looked from the creature to Sojani then back at the creature, "Why is she changing shape?" I looked toSantiago for that explaination.

Santiago:
Santiago scanned her with a tricorder stored at his station. "It could be natural for the creature, or it could be an averse reaction to being out of its dimension especially if the laws of physics are significantly different. Counselor could you project peace, kindness, or something similar to show it we mean no harm?"

Wesley:

I looked at her. Without me wanting I felt tears coming to my eyes. I turned over to my stomach, therfor showing her the shrapnel-wound on the back. I knew it didn't look to good. Maybe it was dangerous, but what did I know...
I didn't see her face, but I knew she saw it. And I also knew a was turning pale because of the bloodloss.

Geordi:

"Computer," I gasped. "Seal turbolift 7.">

She jumped out, just in time. Like she knew what Tasha was thinking.  She mutated again...to a woman. A human woman. About 1,67 meters  high, brown hair and brown eyes. A beautiful woman. The Ensign looked at her...into her eyes. And stopped screaming. Worf looked at her and suddenly he went stiff. "Tasha!" I yelled. "Whatever you do! Don't look her into her eyes!!"
I also heard what was just been said on the bridge. "Captain" I replied. "She's here..." But then I noticed. My Visor was also reading a creature inside the turbolift. "Captain" I said scrared. "There's two of her!"

Guinan:
Guinan looked at Riker," do you think we should go and help?"

Keiko O'Brien:
Keiko sttod outside the turbolift doors waiting for the doors to open, she had just left the classroom unaware of the trouble on board, she just knew she had to find Miles.

Geordi:
I looked at Orchidee. She seemed stressed because shedidn't get a hold on my. For the first time...well,okay maybe for the third time in my life, I was glad I was blind.
Slowly she moved in circles, trying to get a hold ineitehr mine or Yar's look. Tasha looked down, notmaking eye contact. I took my phaser. Then somethingca,e up in my mind. "Computer...go from 72 F to -1degrees Celisius"
    "Program activated"
I felt the cold. Orchidee muteted again. To thehumanoid that I first had seen. Looking at me. "Human"she said like a snake. "How can you to thisss" she was cold. She hated cold. And I saw here lookingat me. "What are you?" I asked.
"That'ssss for me to know...and you to find out.Geordi-boy" she hissed. Then she took a giant leapover my head and ran. Worf and Ensign Hem started towake up.

Keiko:
Keiko was still waiting for the turbolift when she heard something behind her,she turned to see a blue entity floating infront of her, she froze. "who are you?" keiko asked.

And I also knew a was turning pale because of the bloodloss..

Dr. Crusher:
As soon as Beverly saw the wound on Wesley's back, her dr. intuition jumped in.."Wesley, when did this happen? and How? You've lost so much blood we need to get you into sickbay." She hit her combadge and got ahold of the Cap. ++Dr. Crusher to Cap.Picard++

Data stood and prepared to intercept the alien if it became violent. But he didn't advance on the intruder yet.

<"Captain, she's frightened. She wants to leave here and go back to her planet," Sojani cried out, as the counselor clutched her head obviously having difficulty probing the alien's mind. "She doesn't belong here, sir. She's...not from our dimention."

I looked from the creature to Sojani then back at the creature, "Why is she changing shape?" I looked to Santiago for that explaination.>

Santiago/Carmen/Adm. Durante:
Santiago looked on at the creature who now faced Picard and continued to scan with his tricorder after giving his brief explanation.
She noticed the Tactical console light still flashing urgently. 'I suppose I should.' She reached out to press it.
The Federation emblem appeared on the viewscreen and then an Admirals face. "What took so long to answer, and what is the current situation on Perrati?" Appearently the time lagged image had not yet reached him, but when it did and he saw what was occuring on the Bridge. "Picard! What is that?"

Picard:
"It could be natural for the creature, or it could be an averse reaction to being out of its dimension especially if the laws of physics are significantly different. Counselor could you project peace, kindness, or something similar to show it we mean no harm?"
"I can't send her ANYTHING. I can barely RECEIVE her thoughts." Sojani replied to Santiago.
I turned as the main viewscreen activated and Durante's face filled the bridge, "What took so long to answer, and what is the current situation on Perrati? Picard! What is that?"
"Crusher to Picard," came the doctor's call.
"Captain, there are reports of several aliens in all sections of the ship," Ensign Porter said from her station.
I huffed, frustrated by the assault of questions and information. "Admiral, I'll get back to you. Dr. Crusher, please stand by." I made my way up the ramp toward Orchidee. She hissed, her face taking on a more human look.
"My name is Jean Luc Picard. I am Captain of this ship. Please. Tell me who you are and what you want. Perhaps we can help you," I said.
Again, she hissed, raising her clawed hand above her head. "You have pulled me from my home. That child has killed me."
I blinked, unsure of her meaning.
"Captain, I'm reading several temporal breeches all over the ship.  They are occuring in all the locations reporting one of the aliens," Porter said.
Orchidee glared at the young ensign. The alien's hair turned the exact shade of Porter's, her face also taking on similarities.
"I am a chameleon, a shapeshifter, a being without a true form, Peeecard," she said. Hearing her voice made my ears ache.
"How can we get you home?" I asked moving slowly closer to her.
"I cannot return home. Your time is tearing me apart. I will cease to exist soon," Orchidee said. "I will kill as many of you as I am able."
Orchidee swung her hand down. I was too close and the tips of her fingers sliced through my cheek and chest. I fell back, feeling the blood running from the wounds and hearing Orchidee's mind splitting screams.

Santiago/Carmen:
"I don't see why you need to kill us, surely you would not sink to such an instinctual things as revenge?"
"I have a solution. Would you be safe out of your body, could you return to sharing Mr. Crushers mind? I don't think he's actually using most of it."
Meanwhile Carmen opened one of the back wall panels and removed a medical kit stored there. Quickly she moved to the Captain, staying as far from the creature as possible, and opening the case started searching for a dermal regenerator.

Data:
Data leapt on the alien and grabbed both her wrists restraining her, but he had misjudged the Orchidee's speed and as a result was too far away to intercept her attack before she struck the captain. "Data to Sickbay.  Medical Emergency on the Bridge!!! Captain Picard has been attacked by one of the aliens. He is suffering from deep lacerations on the right side or his face and upper torso."
Orchidee tried to get free of the android's grip but he refused to loosen it. "If you do not stop struggling you may injure yourself, either that or I will have to render you unconscious."
As soon as she realized that escape was impossible, she stopped trying to break free. " I can assure you that pulling you and your kind into this universe was unintentional and as of yet, we do not know exactly how this happened. However, I can suggest to you two options. One: you could work with us and perhaps together, we could find a way to return you to your own reality before you die, or two: You can continue your rampage on the Enterprise and eventually all die. The choice is yours."

Data:
<"I have a solution. Would you be safe out of your body, could you return to sharing Mr. Crushers mind? I don't think he's actually using most of it.">

Data looked at Lieutenant Santiago, "That is not possible Lieutenant, if Wesley were not using most of his mind as you put it, he would be dead or at least comatose. And Ensign Crusher is very much alive and awake."

Wesley:
I heard something...well, not really heard it, but it was a voice. A scream of help.
I opened my eyes. Every time I closed them I saw her, looking at me.  Orchidee, the Alien. I couldn't figure out why I felt this way about her. She was so beautiful, and as I figured after time, so kind.  Okay, so she had been arrogant, and she was dangerous, but still...she was just a kid. 13 human years old. That's the age of a teen, a young teen.
I felt sorry for her. I knew how alone she must feel. Away from her world, away from her mom..
I lost my father when I was Five, so all I remember of him was playing Baseball. But mom, I couldn't live without her. I looked at her, standing beside me.
I froze. I wish I could help her. But why was she sending all her thoughts to me, and not to Troi or someone else? And it wasn't just thoughts, it was pictures too. That's kinda when I saw him. Captain Picard with nailwounds. She stood there, and hissed. "NO! GO! LEAVE HIM AND US ALONE!" I yelled.

Sojani:
In her mind, I could see Orchidee's attack on the Captain forming, but I was unable to speak before she struck him. I screamed as Picard fell back on the deck. Data attacked Orchidee, his super-human strength a match for the alien.
More security personnel arrived on the bridge as Data and the alien fought. As I watched in horror, Orchidee flung the advancing security people away, their bodies flying around the bridge like dolls tossed aside by a child. She dug her claws into Data's synthetic skin. It appeared she was winning.
"Counselor!" Porter screamed, pointing somewhere behind where I stood.
Before I could turn, I felt fingers close around my throat and my body lift into the air. I was unable to breathe as I was held nearly a meter in the air. I clawed at the strangling fingers of the new alien.
"Leave her alone. We have come to take her home," the second alien screeched. His mind was less formed than Orchidee's. His one goal to save the one his mind considered his queen. "Do as I say or this one dies."he shook me and I gasped.

Data:
There was a curious sensation as her sharp nails pierced my skin, my internal diagnostics warned me that if I didn't get the alien's nails out of my skin, I would suffer serious circuit damage. I looked and saw a second alien on the bridge, an alien that I did not see enter, standing behind the Counselor. The second alien, grabbed Counselor Sojani by the throat and
addressed me, "Leave her alone. We have come to take her home. Do as I say or this one dies."
"Release the Counselor first and I will release your comrade." My internal diagnostics were screaming at me, I would have to gain control of this situation soon or I would shut down until repairs could be made.
"No!" The second alien shook the Counselor, I heard the gasps of air coming from the Counselors lungs and I could think of only one solution to my dilemma. I tightened my grip on Orchidee and threw her into the second alien, knocking the new intruder off her feet. I used sufficient force to render both aliens unconscious, however, being unfamiliar with their
anatomy, I could not estimate for how long. I walked over and checked the Counselor's pulse, she was unconscious but otherwise unharmed.
As soon as the alien's nails had been removed from under my synthetic skin, the unusual sensations had ceased. Apparently they could generate an electrical pulse unfamiliar to me, as well as poisonous toxins. I would have to be more cautious in the future. I looked back to the unconscious aliens, and opened a communication channel "Data to Chief O'Brien, transport the two aliens on the bridge to the brig."
"Aye Sir," point six seconds later I saw the two intruders dematerialize. I looked to the security guards whom were now standing up and dusting themselves off, "take the Counselor to sickbay."
"Yes sir," Lieutenant Thomas responded, "but what about you?"
I regarded the lieutenant, " I must remain on the bridge until commander Riker arrives. I can use the replicator in the Captain's ready room to replicate the tools I need to make repairs."
"Aye Sir," they picked up the Counselor and left.

Data:
Captain Picard was already delirious from the toxins and I believed that he had received a lethal dose of the poison and that moving him, even the short distance to sickbay could increase the speed which the toxins were spreading throughout his body. I tried opening a channel again to sickbay.
=^=Data to sickbay, there is a medical emergency on the bridge, please respond.=^=
And again I received no response. "Computer, run a diagnostic on the ship's communications systems."
    * Working, all communication channels to sickbay have been severed.*
    "By Whom?" I asked.
    *Unknown.*
I looked at Ensign Porter "Ensign go to sick bay and get a medical officer up here on the double."
"Aye Sir," he acknowledged before running out to the turbolift.

Carmen:

Carmen looked up and shrugged. "I'm just sealing the wounds, hold on." She then withdrew a medical tricorder and did a quick scan, followed by reading a PADD. "According to the manual the tricorder says he has some abrasions and mild blood poisoning. Luckily it can't interact with his Terran immune system very well."

Data:
I looked to Carmen, "I will be in the ready room, I have to make some repairs incase I have another confrontation with one of the aliens. You have the Bridge." I saw Carmen nod in acknowledgment as I stepped through the readyroom doors.
I walked over to the replicator and programmed it to replicate the synthetic welder, that I would be able to use to mend the tears in my skin. My repairs took three point seven five minutes to complete. My internal repair systems could rectify the minor damage to my circuitry that occurred as a result of my confrontation with the aliens on the bridge.
We still had the conundrums of what exactly happened to the communications to sickbay and why was that the only section on the ship that had been isolated. Also what did Orchidee mean when she said "That child has killed me. " Could she have meant Wesley? I am unfamiliar with Wesley's latest experiment, but it is possible that these aliens appearing on the Enterprise are doing so, thanks to some unforeseeable repercussion of one of his experiments.

Ensign Porter:
Ensign Porter walked in to sickbay he saw Dr. Crusher tending to her injured son, but she never appeared to be as detached when it came to treating Wesley, and Porter couldn't blame her. She looked up as the Ensign approached.
"Dr. Crusher, Commander Data sent me, he tried several times to contact you but couldn't. Captain Picard has been attacked on the bridge by one of the alien intruders. Commander Data wanted a medic to check him out before we brought him to sickbay. Data believes the dose he received was lethal and intended to kill him, he thought that moving the Captain without giving him something to counteract the poison would increase the toxins' spread throughout the Captain's body."

Carmen:

Carmen gently took the Captains chair and noticed an angry Admiral still gestulating on the viewscreen. Carmen turned the mute off.
Durante was furious to say the least. "What is going on?! And did whoever leave the bridge just now leave a child in command, and how old are you anyway?"
Carmen smiled. "I'm ten sir, and I didn't think I'd get to the Captain's chair until at least my twenties. Feels nice."
By now steam was almost shooting out Durante's ears, and he was visibly turning red. "Where's Picard? Never mind I'll wait for someone in command, and I don't mean you."

Data:

(Out of character: *Oops* can someone post some info about Carmen, Counselor Sojani and Santiago please so I don't keep making these mistakes. Mercedes.)

BIC: Approximately three minutes later I walked out onto the bridge. Carmen looked at me, "the Admiral wants to talk to you." I walked to the communications station, "Commander Data here Admiral."
To say the Admiral was displeased would be putting it mildly. "What's the idea of leaving a child in command on the bridge?!" he yelled.
"Sir, I had to momentarily leave the bridge and attend to some repairs. I knew it would lead to character development and...."
"I don't care what your excuse is Commander, it was a severe breach in Starfleet procedure."
"I am aware of Starfleet procedures Admiral, however, Carmen is a highly intelligent and highly gifted child. I was only in the ready room and she would have called me if anything went wrong, I assure you. I was only gone for a total of three minutes and forty nine seconds."
"What's going on there? I've been sitting here being ignored for the past ten minutes! Where's Picard?"
I looked at the Admiral, "twelve point seven three minutes Sir, and Captain Picard was attacked by an alien intruder. I have sent an ensign to get medical help as all communications to sickbay have been severed."
    "Severed? by whom?"
"Unknown at this time, however I would hypothesize that the intruders still loose on the Enterprise are responsible."
The Admiral's voice raised again, "and you left a child in charge of the bridge during this emergency?!"
"No Sir, the bridge is completely secure, the alien intruders have been dealt with and are now in the brig."
The Admiral was really starting to develop a severe migraine, "look just keep me posted Commander, Durante out." I closed the communication channel.
    =^=Data to Commander Riker =^=
    tag--Riker

Sojani:
I staggered back to my seat, next to Troi's and rubbed my throat. The Admiral was chewing Data out and I couldn't speak to help him. The Enterprise was in a state of emergency and without a Captain. Picard lie on the deck, groaning and mumbling incoherently. The child, Carmen Santiago, was attempting to help him.
I took a tricorder from the wall panel and ran it over myself. My child wasn't injured. I had some quite severe contusions on my neck and shoulders from the alien's strangle hold. I too needed medical attention.
The ship pitched suddenly. I nearly fell from my chair. I turned to Lt. Ferguson who had assumed Porter's vacated position. "What was that?" I gasped.
Ferguson checked his instruments, "Some sort of disturbance off our port. We're caught in its wake. It's pulling us in."
I turned to the viewscreen as Durante's scowling face was replaced by a swirling blue and white disturbance.

Tymen:
I rushed in engineering, hearing the screeches and struggle as I approached. Lt. DiPego was locked in a hand to hand combat with one of the aliens that had infiltrated the Enterprise. Two other lieutenants were lying on the deck, unconscious.
Suddenly, the alien overpowered Shaori and threw her down the core shaft. Her scream ended with a sickening thud.
The alien then turned, hissing as me. I stopped in my tracks.
The...THING...as if sensing something, suddenly looked into the air. "They are coming," it squealed.
At that point, the ship's deck trembled beneath my feet. I felt the Enterprise begin to move.

Santiago:

The ship pitched suddenly. I nearly fell from my chair. I turned to Lt. Ferguson who had assumed Porter's vacated position. "What was that?" I gasped.
Ferguson checked his instruments, "Some sort of disturbance off our port. We're caught in its wake. It's pulling us in."
I turned to the viewscreen as Durante's scowling face was replaced by a swirling blue and white disturbance.>

Santiago looked at the screen and then switched the science station from internal to external scans. "At first glance and looking at the first bits of sensor data I'd say Perrati might have a wornhole. I don't have any idea where it leads though."
He looked at Data. "Permission to launch a probe, sir?"
A groan from the deck announced the Captain was regaining consciousness. "How is he Carmen?"
Another consultation with the tricorder. "He appears to be recovering, like I said earlier the poison was designed for a whole different evolution. It appears to have little to no effect on Terrans. But I still wouldn't suggest hand to hand combat with one of those things."

Data:
I noticed Sojani had regained consciousness and was now sitting in her seat examining herself with a medical tricorder.
"Counselor, perhaps you should go to sickbay." The Enterprise shook violently. As I closed the Communication channel, Ferguson yelled "Some sort of disturbance is off our port, it's pulling us in!"
Captain Picard was beginning to regain consciousness.
"Permission to launch a probe Sir" Santiago asked
"Make it so, and impulse engines on full reverse." Although I doubted that we would be able to avoid the inevitable, we could at least delay it.

Santiago:
Santiago began searching the inventory of probes to make a selection. Finally selecting a class V medium range recon probe, also choosing one that carried countermeasures. "I've chosen a recon probe since we don't know what's on the other side. It has low visibility and shouldn't even be detectable by sensors, but just in case this one carries countermeasures." With that he fired the probe.
As programmed it flew directly through the wormhole. "I'm getting some readings of the gravity ebbies, and...I just lost it." On screen the wormhole closed in on itself. "Now we can see if the return system works."
Three minutes later the viewscreen was filled with light as the wormhole opened and the probe shot back through. Santiago immediatly began interrogating it for information. "Like I said earlier we have the gravity data, also sensor readings from the other side, and visual images of the other star system."
Santiago pressed some controls and turned toward the viewscreen. "I am now putting the visual images on screen."

Data:
I looked up on the view screen at the system on the other side of the wormhole. There was a planet, and as I watched, the gravitational pulses emanating from the wormhole increased in strength.
"Full reverse Ensign," I ordered Ensign Toc, the Vulcan helmsman.
    "Aye sir," he responded.
The ship shook even more violently than before, but for the moment, the Enterprise's momentum into the wormhole had ceased. However, if the gravitational forces of the wormhole continued to increase, the Enterprise would be drawn into it and would most likely be either lost or destroyed.
Then I noticed something emerging from within the wormhole, a vessel of some sort, malignant in appearance, and although it was slightly smaller than the Enterprise, it was still obviously very well armored.
I looked to Santiago "Open a Channel."
    tag--Santiago

Santiago:
As he watched a probe detached from the unknown ship and shot quickly back into the wormhole. "From where we are I don't believe we've been detected yet."
Santiago put a schematic on part of the screen. "The wormhole isn't only at our port side, but also slightly below us. That is also the reason why we must fear being pulled in because we would enter not only down, at least in relative terms, but also at an angle. However in this instants it means we stand a good chance of being undetected by whoever is out there."
Santiago had just finished his description, and was reaching to activate the comm. when the ship vanished. He quickly moved to his sensors. "Not cloak, but tight emission control. Should I still try to hail them?"
As he said that the wormhole, which had just closed, opened again. "I think something else is coming through."

Data:

I turned to regard Santiago, "No, belay that order."

"Report, are you receiving any sensor readings?"
    tag--Santiago

Santiago:
"It's hard to get reading from around the wormhole, which is one of the reasons for using the probe in the first place. The probe!" He activated the manual pilotting systems of the probe which was still floating in space and directed it toward the wormhole.
It flew close to the first vessel and passed other exiting ships before entering the wormhole once more. After a wait of a minute Santiago sent a recall order and the probe returned, luckily hidden by the exit of another ship. Soon it was close enough to interrogate again.
"The low sensor profiles on these recon probes are wonderful." He slowly digested the data. "On the other side it shows four more ships, which is a surprise since the first time it went in none showed up. That means either they weren't present, physically hidden, or cloaked. Data on the ships is fairly good. The first three which are now on this side appear to be relatively light units, scouts perhaps. The four on the other side are heavier units, but still smaller than the 'Enterprise'. I can't even take a guess at their function."

Santiago:

Data:
I considered Santiago's words carefully, "perhaps they are here to retrieve our uninvited guests. We should attempt to distance ourselves from the wormhole before we are pulled in, however, I would hypothesize that this wormhole was artificially created, perhaps as a doorway linking our universe with that of the Orchidee's. Or it is also possible that the intruders on the Enterprise, are working with the individuals on those vessels, either way we will deal with the repercussions as they arise. If the Orchidee cannot survive in this universe for an extended period of time, then it is highly probable that the lifeforms on the Enterprise would not survive in their universe."
"Move us away from the wormhole Ensign," I said to Toc, and transfer twenty-three percent of the power from the warp systems to the impulse engines. That should be enough to get us clear of the wormhole's gravitational pull. Set course 213.13 and engage."
"Aye sir," he acknowledged. The Enterprise, jolted suddenly at first, butwith the increased power to the impulse engines managed to pull away, unfortunately, I knew that once we were clear of the wormhole, we would alsobe detectable by those alien vessels on this side of the wormhole.
Once we were clear of the wormholes the alien vessels came about and I gave the order to Santiago, "Open a channel."

Santiago:
"The Perrati vessel is hailing us, and so is one of the unknown vessels." After a moment. "We are being scanned by the unknown vessels and they are bringing weapons online."
Santiago considered the situation for a second. "Might I suggest going to red alert, sir?"

Data:
    "Make it so." I answered

Data:
The alert klaxons sounded throughout the ship as the malevolent looking vessels approached us, their weapons ready.
"Continue trying to hail them but place all weapons on ready status, perhaps they are preparing to fire because they have detected the Orchidee on board."
I then turned to the Counselor, "Counselor, can you read any thoughts from the aliens, can you determine their intentions or whether or not they are Orchidee?"
    tag-Sojani and Santiago

Geordi:
The room was a mess. It looked like someone had takena phaser and played shoot the guy with the duck.Scared engineers came up behind panels, women crying and swearing. I looked at them. "Can someone please tell me what's going one?"
Lt. Rachel West, the newest of them all, stood up."Sir, the creature came in here…" she was the only onewho seemed unaffected by the whole thing.
"Okay, who's hurt" I went to each and every one. Some bruises, one with a broken leg, but that was all."LaForge to Sick bay, we have one broken leg in Engineering, please send medical staff as soon as youcan"
Rachel looked at me. "I don't know what's going on. Wehad just fixes some small damage when all of the sudden here she was…. Raising hell"
I smiled. Sometimes West could be so…"LaForge toBridge. Can someone please tell me what's going on?"

Sojani:
"Counselor, can you read any thoughts from the aliens, can you determine their intentions or whether or not they are Orchidee?" Data asked.
"Complex minds with very strong telepathic capabilities. I feel a little overwhelmed when I touch them telepathically," I answered, my hand at my throat. "They ARE the Orchidee."

Picard:
I opened my eyes and stared into the smiling face of Lt. Commander Santiago's daughter. She scanned me with a tricorder, it beeped and whirred as she passed it over my chest and face.
Touching the area of my face that the alien had slashed, I found only smooth skin. The child had healed my injuries. I jumped to my feet, quietly thanking the child for whatever assistance she may have given me.
I found Data standing in the command center with Sojani in her seat, a plethora of dark bruises on her neck. What had happened while I was unconscious? I glanced at the viewscreen as several Perrati ships closed in on two unknown vessels which appeared to have come through a newly formed wormhole.
"Report!" I coughed as I moved to my command seat.
One by one, my bridge crew brought me up to speed on our situation.
"LaForge to Bridge. Can someone please tell me what's going on?" came the voice of my newly assigned chief engineer.
"I'll give you a report as soon as I know, Lt. Commander," I said to him. "Hail those vessels, Lt. Ferguson," I orderd.
After a moment, he replied, "No response sir. The Perrati and firing!"
On the viewscreen, the Perrati ships let loose a barrage of phaser and photon torpedo fire. The Orchidee ships seemed to not notice as they headed in a B line toward the Enterprise. Suddenly my mind was gripped by a powerful presence. I clutched my head, nearly falling to the deck. It was too much!
"Ship Captain. Release our brethren, our queen," the entity said, its words echoing through my brain.
I struggled for a moment, the alien sending direct thoughts into my mind. I began to understand them, to understand what had happened to their queen. "Drop our shields," I ordered. "Release the aliens from the brig."
"Captain?" Sojani came to my side, taking my arm.
"Captain, are you certain?" Ferguson asked.
    "Now!" I screamed.

Yar:
I chased the fleeing alien down the corridor. She suddenly stopped, looked upward, then her body began to dissolve in a stream of lights.
I tapped my communicator, "Captain, the alien has disappeared."

Santiago:
After a few moments it appeared to be working. "The alien life signs are being removed from the ship, and the unknown vessels are turning about and appear to be leaving. The Perrati ships have broken pursuit."
As the last ship entered the wormhole wavered and closed. "The wormhole appears to no longer exist. I am now retrieving the probe we launched."

Wesley:
You know how incredible annoying it is to be left out? To not know what's happening? That was my situation. Every time I asked what was going on, they told me to relax. Okay, so I had a leg wound on the back of my leg…big deal. Mom had fixed me up pretty well. I could stand and walk…I limped a little but that wasn't so important. Orchidee had been silent for some time now. I was scared. What if somebody had killed her…what if she had killed Troi, Geordi, Riker or someone else I knew? I wanted answers. I wanted them now. But I was ordered to stay, and rest. So I sneaked out.
I was walking down the corridor towards Engineering. The corridor was as they say…a mess. I entered careful, and saw Geordi. "Geordi" I said.
He turned, as did the woman beside him. "Wesley, aren't you supposed to be in sick bay?"
I signed. That was so adult, asking me if I wasn't supposed to be in sick bay. Just like hearing my mom.
"Wesley, this is Lt. Rachel West. Rachel, this is Acting Ensign Wesley Crusher" he pointed at the girl.
I smiled. "Nice to meet you" then I looked at Geordi again. "Can you tell me what's going on, where's Orchidee?"
He looked puzzled. "Well, I'm still waiting for the reply…sorryto say this, Wes. But they're gonna make jokes about you having Orchidee inside your head until you are…dead"
"Man…Well, it could have been worse. I could have been dead" I whispered.
He looked at me, and smiled. "LaForge to Bridge, respond"

Data:
<"Report!" I coughed as I moved to my command seat.>

I looked at the Captain. "Captain, it is good to see that you are alright sir. Whilst I was restraining the alien that attacked you, a second alien appeared on the bridge. It grabbed the Counselor by the throat and was about to kill her. I had no option but to render both aliens unconscious at the same time, and we transported them to the brig. All communication with sickbay has been severed so I sent Ensign Porter to get medical assistance, he has not yet returned however. I could not contact Commander Riker so I am unsure if he is in sickbay or not. Once the aliens were in the brig a wormhole opened and three ships came through, we attempted to contact them, but were unsuccessful. They were about to open fire on us which is why the ship is now on red alert sir. I also told Admiral Durante that I would keephim advised of our situation. With your permission Sir, I will escort the Counselor to sickbay."

Picard:
Relief washed over me, at least temporarily. I still had to face Admiral Durante who I'd brushed off earlier.
"LaForge to Bridge, respond," Geordi called.
"The alien intruders and their vessels are gone, Lt. Commander. Dispatch repair crews to needed areas," I ordered. "Picard out."
I went to the my command chair and sat. Data escorted Counselor Sojani to the turbolift in root to sickbay. I too would make a visit to our good doctor...soon.
"Lt. Yar, opened a channel to Admiral Durante."
"Frequency open, sir," came her reply.
Durante's scowling puss appeared on the viewscreen.
    "Jean Luc," he greeted.
"Admiral, I apologize for all the confusion," I said, smiling slightly.
Durante waved me off, "I received a report from Alicia II on the Perrati situation. I, however, would be interested to learn how that child ended up in YOUR command seat, Picard." Durante paused then went on. "Alicia's filled me in on the whole thing. She has also officially taken the throne and withdrew her world's Federation membership. Lt. Commander Sant 'Angelo has also resigned his commission. I expect a full report from you, Picard. Otherwise, there's nothing more for the Enterprise in the Perrati system."
    "Yes, sir," I said.
The Admiral's eyebrow lifted, "At any rate, I have the Enterprise's next assignment. You are to rendezvous with the U.S.S. Indiana and take aboard some new recruits. I think you'll be surprised to find who's joining your team, Jean Luc."
    "Really,"
"Yes," he barked. "The rest of your orders will be forwarded once you meet up with Indiana. I'm transferring the rendezvous coordinates to your Lt. now."
"I have them, sir," Yar said to me.
"Durante out," the admiral's face disappeared from the screen and I turned to Yar.
"Transfer the coordinates to the helm. Ensign Toc, set course and engage. I'll be in sickbay..."

Geordi:
<"The alien intruders and their vessels are gone, Lt. Commander. Dispatch repair crews to needed areas," I ordered. "Picard out.">

I smiled to Wesley. "So...looks like everything is back to order"
Wes looked around. "Except this place" he marked as he watched the wires lying loose.
"Rachel, let's get back to work. Wesley, want to help us?" I asked him.
Wesley's eyes lit up. "Sure" he said.
West smiled to him and started working. I looked at her. "What?" she asked me laughing.
"Nothing!" I told her as I started to go over the system.

Carmen/Santiago:
<"Transfer the coordinates to the helm. Ensign Toc, set course and  engage. I'll be in sickbay...">

Carmen moved down to the command chair, prepared to resume her position of command. On the off chance he forgot to assign someone.
At the science station Santiago also looked down at the command chair, but he was looking at the Captain in it. "What should the science department be doing?"

Data:
" With your permission Sir, I will escort the Counselor to sickbay."
The Captain nodded his assent, as I helped Counselor Sojani out of her chair, "Counselor , if you will come with me?" She nodded and I assisted her to the turbolift.
"Deck fourteen," I instructed the lift. 3 point 1 seconds later the lift's momentum ceased. We exited the lift and walked west along the corridor 14.4meters and through the doors of sick bay. "Dr. Crusher, Counselor Sojani requires medical attention," I helped her up onto the biobed as the C.M.O approached us.

Ensign Tasia Wiggo:
I looked at Commander Data as he entered with counselor Sojani. I have always found The Commander…fascinating. I brushed a curl of my long, blond hair away from my face. Sometimes I hated my hair. I took my patient's medical record and flipped trough it. Ensign Wesley Crusher. Dr. Beverly Crusher's son. He had a…impressing record for his age. A few broken bones…burns…and now this shrapnel in the back of his leg. "Hey, slow down, Ensign Tasia Wiggo" a doctor said.
I smiled. I hate when people use my full name. It was either my first name, my last name or my rang! I smiled to him. I always smile. I smile…nod…talk…sleep…eat…smile…That's my life in a nutshell.
I walked to the room where Ensign Crusher was staying. "So, Wes…" I froze. No Wesley Crusher. The bed was cold en empty. "Nice going, Tasia" I muttered. "Losing a patient. What will your parent say?"
Both my mom and dad are doctors. My mom, Kylen Wiggo, is a famous doctor, who was Dr. Crusher's teacher…I think. I sat down. How to tell Doctor Crusher. "Hey, Tasia…what's your twenty?" I asked my self.
"Well." I answered. "I just lost one patient, who is known for getting away, somebody should set an Cow Bell on him…I don't know what to say, and I'm starting to get really pissed off"
I stood up and walked out. As I saw Doctor Crusher I felt like I was going into…as my dad always put it…Combat. "Houston, we have a problem" I whispered, before standing behind the Doctor. "Doctor, I lost a patient. Your son is…again…missing"
