Granges
On April 9, 1903, citizens of the community of Jamestown met in Nud College School House to discuss the organizing of a grange.  Those present expressed their desire to become members of the Grange.  It was organized with 25 charter members and they chose the name of Friendship for their grange. In May 1903, it was decided to erect a building and on September 2, 1903, they met in their new hall.  Needless to say, many hours of work was donated by their members.  Many additions and improvements have been made to the building.  The grange has always taken an active part in the community and still does much community service work.  Many Pomona officers have been supplied by out grange and we have always assisted Pomona whenever asked.  In 1975 several members had many years of granges services; namely: Rachael McClemens-72 years; Huldah Sherbondy-65 years; Harry Fry-62 years; Harold Fry, Roy Smith, Grace Enterline, Oscar Fry all with over 50 years.
