Millbrook Grange was organized on February 11, 1914 at a gathering in the Millbrook Brick Schoolhouse.  The charter shows 63 members.  The Centerbrook Grange was adopted.

By June 1914, the members rented the Union Hall for the annual sum of $50.  The Grange sold bulk feed, fertilizer, and lime to the members and farmers to raise money for the Grange.
In 1920, the name of the Grange was changed to Millbrook Grange.  In 1926, there were 120 members.

Some of the activities sponsored by Millbrook Grange in the early years were Fourth of July celebrations, 4-H Calf- Feeding Club, and pre-paid the dues for the members of the military service.

There were several events that helped the Grange members over the years.  Electricity came to Millbrook and the Grange in 1937.  Blue Cross, group hospitalization was organized at a cost of $7 per family per quarter.

Several members of Worth Grange in Hendersonville joined Millbrook Grange by demit in 1938.  For entertainment and fun, a drama club was organized by the Grange members.

Other activities sponsored by Millbrook Grange was in the 1940s, Degree Teams were formed and offered the degrees at different Granges.  The Grange members sponsored several dinners, horse shows, and minstrels to raise money to remodel the Grange hall.

Millbrook Grange was incorporated in 1952.  In the 1960s, the Grange was refurbished with new siding, new hot water tank, and gas furnace.  In the 1970s, new restrooms were added.  In the 1990s, the outside of the Grange Hall was painted and a significant redecoration was completed on the second floor.

In 1965, Millbrook Grange sponsored it first Buckwheat Cake Supper.  This event was an annual event until 1993.  Members of Millbrook Grange #1601 gathered at the Grange Hall to celebrate and review 75 years as an organized Grange on May 5, 1989.  In 1995 and 1996, the Mercer County Pomona Grange #25 used the Millbrook Grange Hall to sponsor it annual Buckwheat Cake Suppers.

In the fall of 2005, the grange hall was sold and the Millbrook Grange #1601 was closed.
