Granges
New Lebanon Grange was organized in March 28, 1910 by County Deputy Whitfield Burnes of Deer Creek.  They had 22 charter members.  James Barnes was the first master.  Before the First World War, they had a membership of 130.  The grange played a large part in getting rations for the farmers.  The first meeting place was the old Lutheran Church.  On May 7, 1968; it was decided to purchase New Lebanon Presbyterian Church for the Grange hall, if it was to be within their means and proper terms worked out. They met at the old Lutheran church until March 1969, when they moved to their new hall which was a United Presbyterian Church. The new hall was purchased for $4,000 and the grange was presently paid for.  The grange drilled its own well in 1974 after 60 plus year of carrying water.  At this time the grange also was incorporated and upon competition of all legal matters was carried out and 1976 is debt free. They have an active junior grange of 19 members.   New Lebanon has had a State Talent Winner in 1968 being "The Millcreek Ramblers" and they also received "Best of Show".  In 1970, Jeffrey Holmes was Mercer County Grange King and in 1975 he was winner of the National Youth Representative Award.  This Grange is now closed and some of the members joined New Vernon Grange.
