Mid Guide Part 1
Back to Guides
So you want to make it to HM (High Mortal)

Well thats gonna take some work. Actually if you are halfway decent you can make it there in 4-5 days. However, i recommend that you take your time and explore a little unless this isn't your first time. But i am assuming that it is.

Cool new things you can do as HM:
(1) You now have enterance to the HM lounge. This is located directly north and up in the palace in WS
(2) You can now use Scrolls and Magic Stones. You can buy these in shops. The shops that I have seen them at so far have been:
1.) WS magic shop (go w,w,w,n from [])
     2.) Aerioth Magic Shop
     3.) Xenora Magic Shop
     4.) Jewel Magic Shop
Scrolls act just the same as the Gate spell. You type MARK SCROLL when you are in the room you want to mark. Then to go there you type RECITE SCROLL and a portal will appear, enter the portal and you are there.
With Magic Stones, just throw them a portal will appear and you will be transported to the HM lounge in WS.
(3) You can chance your title, to do this type TITLE and then type what you want to appear after your name. You can also create enter and exit messages.

So how do you get to HM well you have to get through Mid. What I always recommend that people do to get through these few classes is powerlevel. It really depends on your class. For example if you are a priest I recommend powerleveling to lvl 15 and then max ur stats (bc at level 15 you get GODS HAMMER). Most Classes get their major spells or abilities as a Mid, and it makes it much easier to XP with these spells, for example a sorc. sucks until it gets PsiSurge which it gets while a MID. Therefore, I recommend read the new section about classes see how you should use your class and powerlevel to your class. Below I listed
the good areas to XP at, quests you can do at each level and good armour that you can wear at each level.

So lvl 6 - 8
   Where to XP
    - I feel that it is best to XP at the Orc Fortress west of Cab []. The enemies give you around 1000 xp or so.
    - Another good place to XP at is the Kobold Cave to the west of Cab. You have to climb up the mountains and enter the cave. If you search around there should be a tapestry that you can move which will allow you to enter an area filled with Kobolds. They give really good XP.

Recommendations as lvl 6
I reccommend you start partying (don't worry too much about your stats max them around lvl 15 or so) Use this webpages skills section to max out all of your other skills and the ones that you can't max easily drop xp into. This is also a great time to begin doing some quests and deeds. I highly reccommend that you do Lover's Sin and the crystal ball deed before you reach lvl 10 bc you won't be able to get into the goblin cave anymore.

At each lvl fight in the arena throughout your mid-dom Trust me. I have made many many HM. I have even made one in around 11 hrs or so. So listen to me when I tell you.

TIP: When in a party you gain xp even if you and the other person are fighting in difffernt areas. So try to always be in a party. Build your bank account up to around 10,000 gold by the end of lvl 8. YOu are gonna need the money later.

Armour that is good:
   - I am not going to talk about weapons because that depends on your class. You are still too low of a level to ask the Merchants to get you good stuff, therefore I would say definitly get some Kender Battle armour from the stores. Get a goblin Visor or a Dwarf mask plus a helmet that autos for you. The red boots or elven made boots are also good protection for your feet and they should auto.

Quests you can do
- Lover's Sin

Level 9

Where to get good XP for this level.

    - Once you reach lvl 9 I reccomend that you begin partying in the Uruk fortress only kill the archers. IT might be a little difficult so be sure to stock up on salve and magic orbs. (Salve can get gotten w,w,w,s from WS [], Orbs can be bought w,w,s, from WS [])
    - Now you should find the Dragon caves in Lanerell they will give around 3k XP a kill
    - However, I recommend besides the Uruk fortress which is always empty stock up and go to IM. I have made a walkthrough for how to get there so find it and go there (you will need an INT of 18 to get in, If you do you will be around lvl 12 or so in no time.

NOte with orbs. THey are always draining. YOu should buy as many as possible and then go to uruk fortress. ALso ask a mage to make a bag of holding or 2 for you.

Only kill the archers do not kill the soldiers you will get bashed and die.
Make many many runs You should see that you are making a good profit each time even with blowing all that money in orbs. (instead of orbs try going to fenris forest and getting figs, or a magical ring, or check out IM for a neat little way of getting MP but u gottta do it on ur own (to get to IM u need an int of 18)) Once your bank account is around 100000 gold u are really kicking. Buy a fast boat or a balloon and begin exploring. This is a good time to start talking to the higher levlers try to find out what guild you like for yourself and begin meeting as many members of it as you can. If you want to join a kingdom then do the same although that is much easier (unles it's drow, for drow contact Talena she can help you get in if she thinks you are worthy). Start learning the coordinates to a lot of different areas (make sure to get them to dragons island as you will need it later if you wish to become a dragon [a pretty good race, however, rumor has it that they just changed the quest so we will have to see waht it is.])

Level 10-12
Where to XP
         - Stick with Uruk Fortress
         - Go to IM still
         - Now is a great time to take on the WD/Deathspiral mountains. There are some great enemies there (goats, lnyxes, Hill giants, Stone giants.)
         - If you go south of the Hill giants you will find countless enemies which you can handle. There will be Blue ogres and Ogre Magis. Just bring a lot of salve, orbs and a bag or two and you will be able to keep going until you run out.
         - At level 11 and 12 probably the best place to go in a party is the WS/Fenris Desert. This place has some really hard enemies. You are to stay away from: Everything except Termites, Giant Ants, and Antlions. Kill these, be ready you might die but if you kill them. Termites give 10k xp each (4 in a pair), Antlions give 12k XP each, Giant Ants give 14k XP each. You must be in a party otherwise you will definitly
die. To get there just go to the WS balloon station and go north until you can jump the fence.
            - At level 12 I also recommend that you check out the Centaur undergrounds in the Desert in WS/.Fenris. If you go east in the desert you will find a room that allows Down as an exit. Go down and you will be there. They drop some good money items too.

Armour that is good
- DragonScale, you can get it from the guards in Xenora (you probably won't be able to kill them until lvl 15 or so, ask someone to get it for you. It is one of the best armours in the game, but it has a weight of 105 and is pretty heavy
- Enchanted Leather Tunic
- Spiked Helmet

Quests you can do: (you can actually do these earlier but this is when i recommend it)
- Mystic Quest
- Forest of Deception
- Into the Woods
- Destruction of Troglerin (if you have a mage who can cast levitate on you. With the guardians they will only attack you if you try to move in an exiting direction. You can run past them to the western (into town) direction. So when you destroy the last house, don't try to leave because you will have to kill them just quit out.)

Tip: I would start getting my cheapest stats up around now. You really need to get your stats up to the minimum 130 around lvl 15 so you can continue powerleveling because you want to get to your MEGA spell or ability. Once you get that you try to max it out, for example if you are a priest get to lvl 15 fast, then you want to max faith (if you haven't already) and then get your WIS and INT up to at least double your level.

HINT: You will be pretty powerful if you remember this rule. Keep your main stats (usually 2 or 3) at least two times what your level is and your regular stats at your level. So if you are a Mage at level 10 your WIS and INT should be 20 or better, and your other 4 stats should be at least 10 or so. (I recommend to always keep your Constitution up at 1.5-2 times your level so for this mage it would be 15-20)

If you really want to XP fast you should definitly start forming parties. Find people who you party well with and can move fast with. Some people might like partying together, others want to party, but in different areas. Find someone who likes what you like, do you want to go fast or slow, do you want to chit chat or just XP hard core (like me). If you want even Marry your XP buddy it wil solidify your relationship with them.
