Part 2 How to become an HM a guide for MIDS

How to improve your relationship with other gamers
The three best ways.
1.) Partying with them
2.) Questing with them
3.) Talking to them over the lines (or being in a kingdom or guild with them)

Level 13-14
Where to Xp
   - IM (avg Xp a kill 4k and great money)
   - Desert north of WS (avg xp a kill 10k, but still pretty hard and expensive)
   - WD/Spiralmountains (avg xp a kill 4k)
   - Archers in URUK fortress (xp - 3k each, and good money)

Armour
- There is no new armour that I know of that autos at lvl 13 or 14 so just use what you have for lvl 12. Also get a lot of rings, all different types. Your armour is very very important don't forget that.

Guild and Kingdom
   - This is a very important time to start considering a guild or a kingdom. Most people will join them in this game. They are great way to meet friends and XP buddies, they also offer your protection and if you are evil you might enjoy some of the wars that break out between them (but there are good ones too). Each guild offers you something different. Merchants offers it members access to all of the best armour and Weapons in the game and is allowed to sell such items to all the players in this game. Golden Flame for instance offers it members an extensive database of information about the lands. Some are for fun and some are not. To get into a guild send a TELL or a MUDMAIL to the guildmaster or council. If you know someone in the guild they can put in a good word.

Important Note: Don't be an idiot, know what this guild is about and what they stand for before saying that you really want to be in a guild. Type WHO (GUILD) will tell you about the guild or going on merenthas homepage. Be ready to answer the infamous Why do you want to be in this guild? and What can you bring to this guild? And the be prepared to answer some questions about whatever (it will be related to the guild). Also some guilds such as explorers or merchants will probably make you do something to prove yourself such as get some weapons or explore an area, so just be ready for that, make sure not to lie and just be yourself and be sure to show them how much you really want to be in the guild. Usually when you join there is an Initate period where you are not actually a member, but in a way you are. You have to prove yourself by the end to become a member of the guild

  - Kingdoms besides Drow and Artrell, which I will talk about how to join later in my soon coming HM section you have to talk to the council member for the kingdom. Make sure you know about the kingdom, you can actually get to the kingdom, and you know some people in the kingdom who can help you get in. Type WHO COUNCIL to see who is on the council for each kingdom. Most kingdoms won't take anyone lower than level 15 this is just to get your started of thinking; however, I know that Jewel makes you wait now until lvl 20 to get in.

Level 15
- This (besides lvl 20) Is probably the best level in the game. You can now ride a boat, get portals to all areas (assuming you were following the rules and not getting portals to places where you could not normally go before). What I like to do at this level is buy a boat. There are so many places for you to explore now, there are so many quests to be done. Also this is when most classes get their most powerful spells and abilities.

NOTE: A powerful level 15er can probably get just about every good weapon and Armour in the game. Definitly not all, but you can get a great deal of stuff around this level.

Where to XP
    - HAVEN (see the walkthrough for haven)
    - Kender Island
    - IM
    - Desert north of WS
    - Sunken City (note: remove all of your weapons and put them in a bag before entering TRUST ME)
     - maybe Korlis (get a gate)

Well you are now level 15 at this level you can get just about any good weapon, armour and most mages get their best spells at this level. For example: Necro's get chain, Sorcs get Dreamweave. I recommend that you start raising your stats at this level. If you are a fighter your stats should be something like this.

Strength - 30 +
Char - 20
Dex - 30 +
Con - 30
Int - 19 so u can go to IM
Wis - 15

If you are a Rogue, pretty much the same thing, but you might want to make the dex around 35.

If you are a monk:

Strength - 25
Char - 20
Dex - 25
Con - 30
Int - 33
Wis - 30

For Mages and Clerics:

Strength - 15
Char - 20
Dex - 15
Con - 30
Int - 35
Wis -30

Once you get these stats or similar stats you should power level to lvl 20. These stats should all be high enough to get to HM because you only need a stat total of 130 or so for HM.

Easy way to raise these stats. In case you didn't know you can die and get ressed into a different race. Each race has differenet stat costs. I dont' recommend doing this until lvl 40 when you want to max out certain differenet stats, but just in case if a solider in Uruk accidentally gets you at lvl 15 and you just finished maxing your Int and now you want to max your Strength for some reason (lets say you are a Monk who needs both good fighting and Magic stats) .

Cheapest Stat costs:
Strength - Giant, Orc, Goblin
Charisma - Gnoll, Nymph
Constitution - Orc, Giant
Dexterity - Artrell, Fairy, Imp, Hobbit, Kender
Intelligence - Fairy, Gnome, Imp, Elf
Wisdom - Fairy, Elf, Imp, Gnome

NOTE: For Clerics:

Resses:
Here is a location of some of these guys to ress:
Ogre-Magi - Located in the Death Spirals
Elf - There are Elf boys in WS running around, or the archers in Uruk fortress
Gnome - Haven
Giant - Tower west of Marrdan
Drow - North of the Forest of Haven
Kobold - Kobold caves west of Cab.
Kender - Kender Island
Goblin - Goblin Caves in Cab.

I'll have to check with the rest it would be cool if someone could post this on the Forum where all these races are. Also cool with Resses is that you learn a lot of languages.
