Holo-Day Surprise

Prologue: Love takes a Holiday

By WindSparrow

~~~ This prologue was written after several brainstorming sessions with both Lady C and Lily, my partners in crime. I know I wrote this stuff, but at this point I cannot tell whose ideas are whose. ~~~
Warning: Caryn's story, along with any that follow, is blatantly Plot-What-Plot NC-17 Smut. All are welcome to read the prologue, but please do not delve into the stories if you are under-age in your area or if you are likely to be offended by this material.
Miles O'Brien was still unpacking. A little romantic get-away to Risa with his new bride left him relaxed and complacent, and he had wasted time watching Keiko as she moved around their bedroom, putting away her belongings. The last thing she pulled out of her bag had been a data cylinder. She carried it out to the living room and placed it on the table near the door of their quarters.
"What's that, my love?" he called after her.
Keiko answered, "Oh, just a little souvenir. It's a holo-program that designs romantic settings for couples based on their personality profiles. There are also some interesting settings for singles, but I don't think we will be using those much."
"Romantic settings, eh? And when were you planning on testing it out?"
"As soon as we can reserve some time on the holo-deck together. How does that sound to you, Miles?"
With their hectic schedules, the newly-weds were unable to find time to try out their new toy for a week and a half. Miles reserved Holodeck Two for them, and Keiko arrived early to upload the new program. If Miles had been there, he might have noticed that the upload took just a few more seconds than usual. And after their lovely dinner together, neither of them were in any condition to double check the traces the program left in the holomatrix.
