Robert Pine Mr Pine was born as Granville Whitelaw Pine on July 10, 1941 in Scarsdale, NY. He married Gwynne Gilford in 1969 and has two children. Scarsdale High school Mr pine attended Ohio State Wesleyan University with his goal of being a doctor. After graduating colloge, he enrolled in Columbia University taking more courses before applying for medical school. Through the father of an old high school sweetheart Mr. Pine was introduced to someone in coasting at CBS and then sent to the talent reps at Universal. Becoming an actor in February and by May he was under contract to Universal and living in Beverly Hills starring is popular show such as Run for your life, The Virginian and Wagon Train (just to name a few). Then in 1977, Mr Pine landed the role of Sergeant Joe Getraer in the new hit show “CHIP’S” When ”CHIP’S” cancelled after its 6th season Mr. Pine continued his acting in numerous guest roles as well as major hit moves such as “ The apple dumpling gang rids again” and “Indepndance Day”. Then on October 27th 1998 fans had the privilege to once again see Mr. Pine in his role of “Sergeant Joe Getraer” shine as and the rest of the cast reunited in the move “ CHIP’S-99” with the special move Robert has an intense dislike for motorcycles, so much that during the first season of "Chips", Pine threatened to quit if his part was not changed to that of a cruiser cop. Rick Rosner compromised and Pine's scenes were thereafter mostly relegated to at his desk or around the CHP station. |
