"I first traveled to Peru to trek with a friend in the Andes Mountains seven years ago, returning to Santa Fe, my bags stuffed with a zealous collection of textiles, ceramics and curiosities. Friends suggested I might try selling at the nearby "Tesuque Pueblo Flea Market", a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, along with serious, educated collectors. I spent a few surprisingly successful weekends selling from the back of my car and so began my business venture. The rich, wonderful mystery of the Andes Mountains or Mexico, the people and history, an array of popular arts and tender devotional objects, the colorful markets, high-altitude villages and trails, have since become a central aspect of my life and learning. I spend half of each year selling at the market in Santa Fe and most of the other half south of the border. Discovering a way to combine travel, adventure and collecting has created a hugely rewarding lifestyle for me. I have developed a group of enthusiastic collectors who enjoy my particular 'eye' for pieces.
