I'm here to say, it started with
The birth of the Christ Child
On that first Christmas Day.
Christmas is for children.
When little boys don their Dad's
Bathrobes to be Joseph, wisemen,
And shepherds in Christmas plays.
Christmas is for Children.
With faces pressed against a window
Watching the first winter snow.
Waiting for Santa with faces aglow.
Christmas is for children.
On Christmas morn they open their gifts
Of dolls, trains and video games
As parents watch with loving thoughts.
Christmas is for the child in you and me.
Remember on this special morn,
Christmas is about that day many years
Ago when the Christ Child was born.
