Today is the most important day of your life.
So live it to the fullest without strife.
Yesterday is gone, so just live for today.
Dream tomorrow will be better in someway.
Today look forward to the things you love.
While you give thanks to the Lord above.
Forget all of those woes that are in the past,
Just remember future blessings could be vast.
Today is the door to the rest of your life,
Slam it shut on hurts that cut you like a knife.
Open your eyes to see all of life’s great beauty,
Knowing your guardian angel is always on duty.
Today is when you can pull yourself together,
Put depression in your past, like cloudy weather.
Welcome your happiness like bright sunlight,
While fighting for tomorrow with all your might.
Today, my friend, I hope you take this advice,
For a better tomorrow a plan you must devise.
So now you see today is when your life begins,
How you live it will determine if you lose or win.
