You were that little bundle of joy
Many years ago that came to my life.
You were like a tiny bright light
That was always reflecting of love.

You were just a precious little gift
Sent from God to enhance my world.
You were always my sugar and spice,
Mommie’s gorgeous sweet little girl.

It seems you grew up much to fast,
A baby to a toddler before my eyes.
Then a young girl going to school
With a curiosity for experiencing life.

We weren’t always in total agreement,
And at times we would even clash.
Somehow we overcome these conflicts,
To the destination of understanding love.

You are a beautiful young woman now,
With a wonderful little girl of your own.
I wish she gives you much happiness,
Like to me through the years you’ve shown.

I’m sending to you my beloved daughter,
Hope for a life that’s abundantly blessed.
And to God I shall be eternally grateful,
I’ll leave to the world my legacy, “YOU!”
