Home February 2008
In February 2008, the Deputy Head Teacher from Acklam Grange School was on holiday with his wife in Kenya and Tanzania, and visited Meserani School to hand over $10,000 to start the building project at this school.  Building work started in March.
The plans are viewed and discussed.
The $10,000 is handed over.
Inside the classrooms, the conditions are just as grim as they were during the visit in July 2007, with over 100 pupils in each classroom, classes having to be segregated within a classroom by sheets of corrugated iron, and pupils having to come to school either in the morning or the afternoon, as there are not enough classrooms to accommodate all the pupils for a full day.
Enlarged pictures of the 2007 visit were taken to hand out to the pupils.
