Telling 6 ~ Say that again! The Sword of Chaos?!

"Hmm." The orb glowed brighter and brighter. The man watched it and grinned.

He could see Lina and company in it walking through a town. Lina and Gourry were fighting over to get in front of a line for ice cream. Zelgadiss stood along side Amelia staring at the commotion as Lina got in line before Gourry and ordered two cones with four scoops each. Aeron had Xelloss by one arm and Xelan by the other. She seemed much better than yesterday. Filia stood six yards away from, squeezing the life out of the egg for fear of Xelloss. She mumbled to herself.

The man, Kopi Rezo, laughed, "Muahahahaha!! It seems that those idiots may have acquired some of the talismans that I have been searching for...this will be interesting, indeed."

*

"Lina! I got their first!" Gourry complained as Lina pushed him onto the ground.

"Yeah right!" Lina handed some coins to the ice cream man and ordered. "Thank you mister! Now, Gourry, you can get ice cream."

But before the swordsman could get up, a group of kids formed a line as Lina walked off. He sighed, "Well, I can always wait until we get back to Seyruun."

"You're right Gourry." Lina licked the ice cream. "This isn't as good as over there."

Amelia smiled. "Of course it isn't! Our ice cream is the best!" She started to cheer.

Aeron, arm and arm on the two purple-heads, giggled. "I've tried the ice cream once. It was really good! But that was about ten or eleven years ago. I haven't been to Seyruun since then."

Xelloss looked up into the sky and smiled. "I remember, I took you there myself. You had a scoop of everything."

"Yeah." Aeron replied. "Chocolate was the best, except it kept dripping down my hand. Say Lina, what do you plan to do now?"

Lina looked up from her second cone. "Well, first off, I want to try this town's best restaurants, and then check out some of the magic stores, and then get to an inn and eat there, and then sleep."

"Okay" Aeron cheered. "Great plan."

"Right!" Amelia agreed. “And then off onto our adventure!”

“Oh yeah, that too.” Lina agreed.

“You forgot about it?” Zelgadiss eyed her.

Lina smiled. “Just for a minute Zel! No big deal.”

“Right…”

“Don’t worry Mister Zelgadiss! That’s what we are here for!” Amelia explained.

“That’s what I’m here for…”

*

"Ahh," Lina splashed into the hot spring right behind the inn. "This is great!"

It was late but this way, Lina and the others could have the spring to themselves. This relieved Zelgadiss the most (as it were, people would fret about his skin, those racist people…). Aeron sat at the edge of the spring, on top a flat rock. Xelloss sat himself beside her and smiled. Amelia swam here and there; toward Lina, away from Zel, across from Aeron. Lina jumped in then Xelan in Lina's fashion and Gourry behind him.

"Wee!" Both Xelan and Gourry cried. The splashes had gotten everyone wet from head to toe. When the two had gotten back up, Gourry went off to do it again while Xelan swam to Aeron. "Miss Aeron! Aren't you gonna come in?"

"Well," Aeron looked over herself. "Since I'm already wet..." She jumped in and landed by Xelan. "Hey, Xelloss, why don’t you come in?"

Xelloss smiled. "A little later."

"Okay."

Zelgadiss looked around and sighed. "What are we gonna do with the talismans? We have no way to find the others."

Lina turned to Xelloss. "How many we got?"

"I haven't checked." he replied.

"And Aeron, you have no other leagues?"

"Not any that I know of." She replied.

"Well, after we deliver Xelan, maybe we could check out the shrine in Sairaag. It may give us some clues."

The chimera nodded. "Sounds good."

"But I don't wanna go!" Every turned to Xelan and that made him blush. "Um, I like being with you guys. You're fun to be with."

"Well, there's nothing we can do about that." Lina told him. "You're Uncle told us to. I can’t turn back on a bargain."

“Yeah sure.” Zelgadiss mumbled. Lina prepared to hit him.

"But, I'd like to be with you guys!" the little boy whined. He stood up in the spring. "I want to stay!"

"Hey, hey!" Amelia stopped swimming. "Why not bring him along, Lina?"

Aeron agreed with her. "He wants to, so let him."

Lina sighed and shook her head. "Let's talk about this later when we're out of this town. Okay, right now, I just want to relax."

"Okay," Xelan went back down into the spring.

An hour later, they soon began to leave. First it was Zelgadiss, then Amelia, Gourry, and then Lina and Xelloss. Aeron stayed only because Xelan didn't want to leave so soon. He swam, and swam, and swam some more. Aeron sat, with a towel around her waist, on the flat stone and watched her little friend swim.

She called out, "Are you tired yet?"

"Nope!" the little boy replied.

"How about now?"

"Not yet!"

"Well, I can't just leave you here all alone!" she folded her arms.

"I'll only go in," He looked toward her direction, "if you would answer a question for me."

"What is it?"

Xelan jumped out of the water and took a seat beside Aeron. "Is Hellmaster really important to you?"

She froze and looked down into the spring. "He was...almost like a second father to me, but it doesn’t matter."

"Really? But then, where are your real parents?"

Aeron sighed and spoke, "Dead. I’ve lived with Xelloss ever since they were gone."

"So wouldn't he be like a father to you?"

She sighed. "Not at all, our relationship is too bizarre to be like that."

"Are you an only child?"

"Didn't we agree with only one question?" Aeron asked.

"Yeah, but I want to know more." Xelan exclaimed. "So are you?"

“Yes.”

"Oh," Xelan nodded.

"Well, enough questions!" Aeron got up. "Come now! Keep your end of the bargain!" She threw a towel into his face. "It's very late!"

"Oh, all right." Xelan got out.

*

Rezo still stood above the orb watching them. " This is good." He disappeared through teleportation.

*

Xelan dried his hair the best he could with a towel and began to follow Aeron in. But then, an arm wrapped itself around him and pulled him into the air

"Miss Aeron!”

Aeron turned around and saw Rezo with Xelan. "Red Priest! Let go of that boy!"

"Come to me and I'll return your boy." He smirked.

Aeron nodded and summoned her staff. "Raywing!" She flew into the air where Rezo took Xelan. "Give him back!"

"If you really wish for this boy back, then you'll hand over however many talismans that you have acquired."

"Talismans?" Aeron asked. "What do you want them for?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Rezo asked back. "The same reason that you have collected talismans, to find the Sword of Chaos, Giga’s blade.”

"Giga’s blade? I haven't heard of that sword before..."

"You haven't? My, well, if I must tell you my plan..."

"Lina told me already. All of your former copies only planned to succeed the original. But about that sword."

"Ah, yes, Giga’s blade is a powerful sword in which unlocks powerful magic of all sorts.”

"Really..." Aeron jotted everything down on a piece of notepaper. "Is that all?"

"Go the ruins of the original Rezo's tower. Zelgadiss knows where." He vanished along with Xelan.

"Miss Aeron!"

"Xelan!!"
