Telling 7 ~ Save Xelan? Another visit from GOD! "WAKE UP LINA!! LINA, LINA!!" "Wuh?" Lina opened one eye and saw Aeron above her in her bathing suit. Lina freaked and fell out of bed. "WAH! Aeron! What are you doing?!" "Rezo!" Aeron cried as she looked down at Lina. "He kidnapped Xel-chan! We have to go to the ruins of Rezo's tower and save him!" “Rezo kidnapped Xelloss?” Lina asked, disturbingly disturbed as seeing how Xelloss is way more powerful than Rezo. Aeron slapped her forehead. “Not Xelloss! Xelan! Why the Hell would I call Xelloss Xel-chan?” “I don’t know…anyway, why would he kidnap Xelan?” "He's holding Xelan-chan for ransom! He wants the talismans to find the Sword of Chaos!" "Sword of Chaos?" "I don't exactly know what that is but I think that is why we are collecting the talismans for the Lord of Nightmares! Now we got to get going and save Xelan-chan!" "What's all the yelling about?" Zelgadiss asked as he and the others ran into Lina's room. "I swear, you could wake up the whole inn." Aeron got off the bed and ran to the chimera. "Zelgadiss! Your grandfather just kidnapped Xelan! We've got to save him!" Zelgadiss glared. "He is not my grandfather…” “Er, sorry.” “Well, why would Rezo have any reason to kidnap Xelan?" Zel asked. "He's using him for ransom! He wants the talismans!" "We have to get dressed and head out!" Lina shouted. She began pulling off her clothes then remembered. "Get outta my room!" She shoved everyone out. * They were in a desert. Not really a desert but it is deserted. Up ahead, it was visible to them that there was a broken down tower, which was where Shaburanigdo was once reborn. Lina and company walked and walked and walked some more, trying to get to the tower ruins. When they got there, they waited for Kopi Rezo to appear. "Rezo!" Zelgadiss shouted. "Come on!" Lina shouted. "We don't got all day!" "Give back our Xelan-chan!" Aeron called. Then he appeared. Rezo appeared, standing on the tallest piece of ruins there was. "Hello dear friends." "Yeah, yeah." Lina waved. "So where's Xelan?" "Right here." Out of the blue, Xelan appeared, tied up. "Xelan!" Aeron cried out. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Are you bleeding? Do you have a headache? Do you feel ill at all? Aren’t you cold only in your swimming shorts?" Xelan replied. "Yes. No. No. A bit. Not much. Yes." "Anyway..." Lina interrupted. "Here!" She threw a talisman at him. He caught it but stared puzzled at it. "Hmm." "What?" Lina asked. He looked oddly upon them, "Only one?" Lina replied. "Sorry but that's all we have." "It is hard to find random talismans, you know." Xelloss smiled politely. "Well, at least for all of you." There was a moment of silence and contemplating. Would he really believe us? Zelgadiss wondered. "Oh well." The red priest sighed. Crash. The gang collapsed in disbelief. Rezo had believed them. "Go ahead. Take the boy and leave." He turned around and began to walk away. "That's it?" Lina asked, sarcastically. "No, 'I'll just kill all of you?' Or ‘you won't get the boy back unless you find the rest?'" Rezo shook his head. "Nah. Too busy." And with that, he vanished into thin air. "Ano, Lina." Gourry asked as they traveled away from the tower. "Why did you only give him one?" Bonk. "Gourry! We need the rest to solve my damn dream! We can just steal that one back." "Stealing is bad!" Amelia cried. Try again. "Uh, I mean we'll retrieve it from the clutches of evil in the name of justice?" Lina reverted. "That's right, miss Lina!" Amelia shouted. Lina nodded to the princess. She turned to question Zelgadiss. "Okay, so how many do we have left Zel?" He pulled out the talismans from his bag. "Four." "And he has one, so if you add them up, there is five.” Lina deducted. “Two left.” “Yes, but where?” Xelloss smiled secretly. “Like I know!” Lina shouted. She waved her hands furiously in the air. “Hello! L-sama! Can you help us out here?! I thought you said you’d give me another hint!” Bonk! Everyone looked the fallen Lina and to Xelan who held a mallet in his hand. “Um…I” the boy stuttered. “Why’d you do that, ne?” Gourry asked. “I don’t know.” Xelan said. “I just felt that someone was telling me to do so, someone with immense power over all.” Xelloss chuckled. “Well, maybe Lina will get her answers now.” * “What the hey?” Lina asked as she was consumed by darkness. A tiny little golden light was forming in front of her. It was so small that it could sit on Lina’s index finger and dance on it…and it did. Hello Lina Inverse. “Oh finally! You gonna help me out now L-sama?” Lina asked the little dancing light. Somewhat. “What the heck is that suppose to mean? Could you tell me what is this all for?” To Begin What Must Happen. “And what is that suppose to be?” Lina tapped her foot. The lord didn’t answer. Lina eased up and stared at the golden speck. “You don’t know, huh.” I Know Some Things, But Not All. “So what does this have to do with me?” You Are My Knight. You, Lina Inverse, Are To Force The Path To The Right Direction. The Sword That I Had Given To Alaan Giga So Long Ago Is The Key To What Must Happen. Lina stumbled. “Wait a minute. Alaan Giga? As in the Giga Slave?” He Is The One Who Gave The Spell Its Name, Yes. He Helped Begin What Is To Happen. I Told Him To Protect The Sword And He Did. “Can’t you tell me anything about ‘what is to happen?’” Lina pleaded. “It would really help.” Go To Sairaag Lina Inverse. Do Not Let Anyone Take It. Protect It Like Alaan Giga Did, Until His Successor Holds It. “And who might that be?” Please Lina Inverse. Woah, the God of all pleading Lina to help her? This was just too much. “All right then. I’ll help but I better have a darn good life afterwards.” Thank You Lina Inverse. Alaan Giga’s Promise Has Not Been Kept In Vain. Thank You, Knight of Chaos. “Wait, Knight of Chaos?” Lina asked. “What’s that suppose to-” Flashing lights and then-- * “Lina! You okay?!” “So-sorry, Lina-san.” “Ugh. My head hurts.” Lina sat up and the faces of her comrades were in view. “Who hit me in the head?” “Sorry.” Xelan said as he hid behind Aeron. “Never mind.” She got up. “Well, onto Sairaag you guys!” “Eh?” Zel asked. “Why?” “Because God told me to.” Lina replied, modestly. “What’s there Miss Lina?” Amelia asked. Lina shrugged. “The end of our quest it seems.” “Wee!” Amelia hopped up and down. “Then let’s defeat those who dare stand in the way of what is good and just!” “Rah!” Xelloss held up little flags with letter Ls on them. “Go Lina!” Everyone looked at him. He pretended to blush. “Fine, I’ll put them away if they seem so strange.” Gourry poked Lina on the shoulder. “Ano, Lina.” “What is it Gourry?” Lina asked. “Where are we going again? I forgot.” Bonk! “Baka! Come on!” She lugged the half unconscious Gourry to his feet. “Let’s get to Sairaag already and end this crazy goose chase of a quest!” “Yay.” Zel said sarcastically, but was knocked over by Lina. “Wait Lina!” Aeron cried out. “What is it?” Aeron pulled Xelan by the collar and made him stand in front of her. “We have to go to Atlas City first to deposit Xelan!” Lina, still in her heroine phase, started running into the horizon. “We can do that after we finish the quest, now come on!” “As much as I know that you would like to end this chapter in a heroic manner,” Xelloss butted in, “but Sairaag is that a way.” He pointed to the direct opposite. “Then let’s be off, NOW!” Lina shouted. “No more arguments! I won’t have it!” And so our heroes begin the end of the quest. What will happen to them at Sairaag? We can only guess what L-sama has in store for them. The question is though, will they survive? Bonk! “No Narratives!” (yes ma’am…) |
