Wrong Sort of Lightbulb

The moon looks so fake
From the window of the car
The sparkling streetlights
Are blinding me

The radio’s on
But the rain still rains
Upon the city night
I’m drowning in red paint

The sun is somewhere
On the other side of the world
Taking its time
I think it forgot about me

I need some light
Some real light
Waiting for daybreak
I’m in an empty lot
