Perhaps the best way to describe Opposite Earth is Rush meets Metallica. The band has sold thousands of copies of its demo VISUALS in the United States and Europe. With the release of HEADSPACE, Opposite Earth has ascended to the next level of musical evolution by successfully combi ing a sense of Phrygian Modality and Middle Eastern melodies with chopping power grooves and great melodic sense. I hate when people who are not die-hard metal fans question me about my dedication with stupid comments like "Didn't metal die with the 1980s?" and they seem to assume that metal consisted of nothing more than glam bands ripping off Motley Crue's look a d sound to varying degrees. Well, metal is very much alive and is back underground where it belongs, away from trendy poseurs who would abandon it when Spin magazine declares it dead.
