Tonari No Double
Yuuki Nakaji, Hana To Yume, 2
There are two sets in this series -- Tonari No Double, and Tonari No Scramble. Both feature Nakaji's pretty, clean art; I think they're very cute, with distinct covers. That's what really drew me in! (How many times have I said that? . . .) The people often have really very comical expressions on their face, which is really amusing!
In any case, the story in both sets is about Megumi Kazuki, who moves to Kobe with her mother, and her mother's new younger husband. Her mother is a famous essayist/novelist. On the first day of school, she sees the soccer club, and is immediately attracted to Touya, a star player. They all think she's a middle school student because she's so short! Later on, it turns out that Touya has a twin brother, Outa, and they live in the apartment next door! Obviously comedy endsues.
I thought this was a really cute series. I really liked the main characters, in particular Megumi and Outa. It's a really sweet story, and I think fairly realistic for manga! Definitely recommended.
