The Sean Bean Salvation Society

Dedicated to saving the world's actors . . . one Bean at a time!

Actor Sean Bean has starred in many productions for the big screen, television, the stage and the radio. His more notable roles include roguish Lieutenant Colonel Richard Sharpe, adapted from Bernard Cornwell's books, and the tragic Boromir from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Mr. Bean has shown a remarkable propensity for taking on villainous roles, or so it appears to his American audience. Unfortunately, in the usual way of villains, most of these worthies do not survive past the end of the movie. Due to Mr. Bean's stellar interpretations of these less than honorable individuals, however, one cannot help but feel a small morsel of compassion for the fallen heroes. As a result, the constant decease of his characters has become a cause of anxeity among Sean Bean fans world-wide. At other times, they do surive to tackle another day, but victory comes at great cost to their dignity. Thus was the Sean Bean Salvation Society created with its many Chapters dedicated to the rescue of our favorite actor from terminal roles or compromising situations. We hope that one day, Mr. Bean's alter egos will survive to live happily ever after in blissful accord with their neighbors. DISCLAIMER: This site has been put together as a measure of the author's respect for Sean Bean. The author of the site recognizes him to be an actor and an artist of high caliber and intends the site to be an appreciative interpretation of Mr. Bean's excellent work. Indeed one would highly recommend that visitors who have not seen the below mentioned movies to do so. Mr. Bean works very hard to bring across a meaningful performance, and the author means to use this site as a recognition and of his efforts. It is meant solely for amusement and hopefully for inspiration. The author, therefore, does not wish to be associated with any rude or degrading sites of Sean Bean or sites that feature rude and degrading images of him. Thank you.

The works included are the ones the author has seen and more will be added as the author gets to view more. Considerations will be taken for productions the author just can't acquire, i.e. Macbeth which closed four months before the author got to London! For a complete list of unfortunate demises and survivals (yes, despite what you may expect the Society was intrigued to discover that the survivals DO outnumber the demises), visit The Compleat Sean Bean and see . . . Death by Cow: The List.

To become an honorary member of the Sean Bean Salvation Society, please send an e-mail to the President of SBSS with your choice of username and your preference of Chapter to join. You may be part of more than one Chapter if you wish. We will try to add your name and Chapter choice to the list as soon as we may. Should a certain actor from Sheffield manage to find his way to this site and wish to denounce us for our impudence and impertinence, we would more than welcome his observations. We apologize profusely if any part of this site appears callous, insensitive, and irreverent. We would be more than happy to correct that situation. Thank you.
