(Your quick reference to MMC terms)
Badtz =  Bad (adjective) This term originates from Elena's pencil case in Gr. 12.  It was made in "Japon" by "Sanpio" and it says "Bad Badtz Maru" on it.  Terms such as goodtz or gdtz, yumtz, cutetz, funtz and happytz gradually come into use of everyday MMC talk.

BBT = Bubble tea (noun).  A favourite past-time activity for MMC.  Their usual place for bbt is Green Rabbit in Markham.

Dabinlo = "Da Bin Lo" in Cantonese.  It literally means "Hot Pot" if you say this in Mandarin.  It is a way of Chinese cooking that you cook your food in a hot pot at the centre of the dinner table while you eat. It's sort of like fondue, but we have soup instead of chocolate or cheese, and meat or vegetables instead of strawberries.  MMC had its first Dabinlo gathering in 1999 when high school teachers went on strike for 2 weeks. We now have Dabinlo for Thanksgiving celebration.

F4L = Friends For Life.  At the 2001 Canada Day celebration at Pauline's house, Wendy ordered a cake with "MMC F4L" written on it.

Gdtz Night Mabu = This is the official MMC night time greetings.  There is a long story behind this dated back to the June 1998 US Trip: On the bus ride to New York, Janet misunderstood what Ann and Tina were talking about and asked if Mabu means the cult.  And so Ann invented this phrase on the first night in US.

JWPI = Janet & Wendy Preference Index (noun).  It is an objective measure of your subjective preference on an item.  MMC uses this extensively during the brainstorming and decision making of events.   In terms of history, this term is (again) invented during the US trip.  It first came into use by Janet when we were at the Canada-US border waiting for... umm, I think that's enough info!

KK = Kris Kringle (noun).  It works like Secret Santa.  The rule of the game is that each participant becomes a KK of another person (this is usually determined by  randomization).  Then you are required leave messages for the KK recipient during the predetermined period of time before Christmas.  At the end, all participants gather together and they make their top 3 guesses of who they think their KK is from the clues they get in the messages.  And everyone, whether you are successful in guessing your KK is, gets a gift from your KK.  This has been a tradition for MMC since 1995.

KOK = Karaoke (noun).  MMC started going to KOK when they were in Gr. 13.  Their reportoire includes "My Best Friends' Wedding", "Friendship" of Leo Koo and many American and Canton/Taiwanese pop songs.

MKT = Merry Kingston Trip (noun).  Since two of MMCers are in Kingston for school, it  has become the place for MMC trip in reading week.  Wendy has been on all MKT since 1999 and is now promoted to manager of Toronto Branch!  Highlights of MKT include: creative painting, indoor rock climbing, 7 hours of shopping on Princess Street, Indian cusine. Sounds exciting, right? You should contact Janet, the organizer, for details of the next MKT

PCN or PNC = Picnic.  MMC hosts its annual PCN at the end of August or beginning of September.  It is a way to celebrate the start of a new school year, as well as to meet new friends.  If you have been invitied to a PCN in the past, you  know you are a special one!

TTFN = Ta Ta For Now.  This is a phase borrowed from Tigger of the 100 Aker Woods.  Ta Ta means bye.  It is used at the end of an email or icq conversation.
