DEBATE WITH TRINITARIAN MIKE OPPENHEIMER
Part 1

Debate occurred in March 1999
MF BLUME

This is from an e-mail debate I had with Trinitarian Mike Oppenheimer, who really mispresesents the Oneness position on his website <www.letusreason.org>.  In this debate, my words are in RED and the antagonist's words are in black.  The bullet marks indicate responses to the previous points made.  As the bullet marks move towards the right of the screen, the words following them are the latter words written in response to the previous words of the opponent towards the left.

John 1:1 says the WORD was in the beginning.  Never is the term SON said to be in the beginning.  The Trinitarians missed that detail. Hmmmm.....  Interesting isn't it?  YEs, WORD is eternal, but not SON.

Trinitarians say the WORD is the SON and GOD is the FATHER in the following:

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The SON was with the FATHER.

So let us read the entire verse like that, and watch the Trinitarian holler, "Wait a minute!"

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the SON, and the SON was with the FATHER, and the SON was the Father."
