SCENE: LIBRARY
Amber sits at one of the large tables, flipping through a book. A librarian walks up with another stack of books and sets it down in front of her.
Sunday
Day 4
LIBRARIAN
Well that seems to be the lot of it.
AMBER
Thank you.
Librarian leaves. Amber looks through the stack until she finds “Crunksvillean Lighthouses: An Illustrated History”, which she opens up. She flips through it, sighing. Suddenly she stops on one page. She examines the photo of a lighthouse on it. Then she pulls out the picture of the lighthouse from the tape and compares it. She traces over the rocks and shorelines, which are the same in both pictures, with her finger. Then she reads the description.

SCENE: OFFICE
And hits search.
The results come up, and she scrolls through them. She stops at the following result:

She clicks. A page comes up with a picture of several men and women in front of the lighthouse on top. She zooms in on the picture and stops as she realizes one of the men looks familiar.
The scene of the man turning from the tape flashes in her mind.
It’s the same man.
Amber hits the print button.
The page prints and she yanks it out of the printer. She reads the description under the picture, which has the names of the people featured in it. She stops as she finds out who the man is.
AMBER
”Bastian Telhiard.”
She goes back to the search page and types:

Amber clicks and
skims through. Then she goes back and types in:
Results come back, but the camera doesn’t show them. Amber’s eyes widen.

SCENE: NEWSPAPER
ARCHIVE ROOM
Amber stands on a box, which is starting to cave in, to pull a large book off the shelf. Papers fly everywhere. She manages to pull it off and sits down with it. She flips through it until she finds an article with the picture of the beached horses from the tape on it.
AMBER
“Mysterious Sickness Strikes Telhiard Ranch Horses…”
“Investigators search for answers after second horses
drowning…”
Scene from the tape flashes in her mind. She copies the page and various others. Then she flips through another book and stops at a picture of a man, facing away from the camera, looking at another drowned horse. Amber circles his head with a pen.
AMBER
”Bastian Telhiard”.
She flips through more books and jots down notes frantically, keeping her eyes on the pages.
AMBER
”Horses recovering after breeder’s suicide…”
She turns the page and finds an obituary for Bastian Telhiard. She skims through the article and spots a line
AMBER
”…may have jumped…”
Scene of the man jumping off the cliff flashes.
AMBER
”…suffered from hallucinations…”
Amber continues writing, never taking her eyes off the book.
AMBER
”Sparkle County Psychiatric…”
What happened to you, Bastian?
Amber turns to look
at her notes and realizes she hasn’t been writing notes, but scratching out
Bastian’s face in the picture she printed from the tape, like what Hunter had
done to the people on the magazine covers in his binder.
