EXT. FOREST – DAY

Moog is going for a jog over the bridge while the other three stagger along behind him, trying to keep up and failing, miserably.

MISTY

That's ridiculous! I don't think that's what he meant

at all!

SABRINA
Listen kids, we gotta slow down or I'm gonna pop a lung.

Listen Moog, I know you come by your flair for drama

honestly, but you don't call off an engagement and a

million-year erudamn relationship on the basis of one

phone call. Especially after the goofballs we had you

hopped up on. Oh stop. I gotta rest.
(puts her oxygen mask on)

MOOGLE
(walks in place for a minute)
I didn't, that wasn't why. I mean, don't you think it's

fishy that we're not married yet? I mean, she started

talking about it the first year and I always resisted.

Don't you think that's fishy?

SANGY

… no. You're a man. Why is that fishy?

MOOGLE
Because! Something must be wrong. I've been hitting

the snooze button on my biological clock a long time. On

paper it works out, I mean, you saw her. Who wouldn't want

to have a family with her? But every time I get right down to it

something just stops me. Just… just stops.

SABRINA
And you don't have any idea why.

MOOGLE
Oh, I have an idea why. What if I'm like her, and I get into

it and I just…

SABRINA
What?

MOOGLE
(stops)
Shoot everyone, and then run away.

SANGY

… that's… what you think happened?

MOOGLE
What do you mean, "think", Sangy? I was there. This isn't

some goddamn recovered memory. I wish I could forget it.
You have your scars but that is nothing compared to what

she left on Autumn, and all I'm saying is that if there is even

one drop of that in me then I'm better off alone. No child

should have to find that out the hard way, and neither

should Georgia! You know, fine! She didn't want us,

fine, she should have just stayed gone, but then you

guys dragged her ass back here and all she did was

drink until we all went away! I mean, you should know,

since you guys were the ones mixing the drinks!

He stomps off, leaving the other three alone. Sabrina looks at them

SABRINA
My God, he doesn't know anything, does he?

END SCENE

EXT. JESS'S HOUSE – DAY

Jess sits in her car, parked out in front, looking near tears. We hear Mid-20's-Jess's voice

FLASHBACKJESS (V.O.)
Moogle, go get Pro and Reb. Autumn, get in the car! We

are leaving! I can't stay in this house one more second!
I can't stand it!
(bursts into tears)

FADE INTO

EXT. STREET – NIGHT. Jess's car pulls up in front of the liquor store and stops. Jess bursts into tears, cries some more. little!Moog scoots over and hugs her, singing quietly

MOOGLE

greg he writes letters and burns his cds, they say

you were something in those formative years. we'll

hold onto nothing as fast as we can…

FADE BACK to Jess, sniffing. She rubs her face, sighs.
