INT. JESS-HOUSE
Jess staggers through the house while Tragically Emo Background Music plays. She takes all of Moog's pictures off the mantle, off the walls, off the shelfs. She collapses on the stairs, sobbing in a vaguely comedic way.
CUT TO: Moogle opens a letter; out of it fall torn-up pieces of his face, having been cut out of photos, and the remnants of other pictures of his.
CUT TO: Jess opens a letter; out of it fall torn-up tickets and a slip of paper that reads, 'Held for: Moog's parents'
CUT TO: Moog with a phone tucked under his ear and an envelope tucked under his arm; he's flipping through Jess's WILL. The section that lists what he inherits has been marked all to hell with red ink, several giant X's and the words "HE GETS NOTHING!!!"
CUT TO: Jess opens an envelope, pauses to read the front. She stares, eyes wide.
JESS
Tim! Tim, come here!
Tim whimpers, then comes down the stairs. Jess takes the card out of the envelope and looks at it, then she smiles widely
JESS
My God, he's gonna do it.
TIM
What?
JESS
Look.
(holds the card up for him)
He's gonna marry that girl. I mean that woman – lady –
whatever.
TIM
One, does that mean you two are speaking, and
two, how much is it
gonna cost me?
(takes the card, frowns)
When is it? And where is it?
Camera zooms in on the card to see that the date and location have been cut out.
INT. MOOG'S APARTMENT
Georgia is stretched out on the couch when the phone rings. Moog immediately pokes his head into the room
MOOGLE
Don't answer it. It's her. Don't.
She answers it.
GEORGIA
Hello Jess!
JESS (on
phone)
Hello Georgia.
GEORGIA
Did you call to talk to Moog, or to hang up?
CUT TO Jess
JESS
I just called to tell him that I received his
invitation and all I'll be sending is my
condolences to you.
CUT TO Georgia
GEORGIA
Jess, I'm going to say to you exactly
what I'd say to my own mother. Grow
up.
Moog jumps up and down, cheering quietly.
GEORGIA
What are you getting so excited about?
Same thing goes for you. Both of you are
acting like children.
CUT TO Jess, who frowns and hangs up, eyes narrowed. CUT BACK to Moog and Georgia
GEORGIA
Did she just hang up on me? She hung up
on me.
MOOGLE
Mmhmm.
GEORGIA
How's your old man hung in there for what,
forty-orty years?
MOOGLE
For one thing, she moved out of the bedroom
years ago, so he's had a loot of time to
himself.
GEORGIA
What, he snores?
MOOGLE
No. He breathes.
EXT. COUNTRY ROAD
Sabrina, Sangy and Misty are in the car again
SABRINA
All I'm saying is that there are some things that
are just none of our business and we should stay
out of it.
Misty immediately smacks her in the head from the backseat
SABRINA
well – I didn't mean this.
MISTY
We have an extreme situation here!
SANGY
And that requires extreme measures! We can't
be afraid to do what we know we have to do.
ALL THREE
Undahpants!
SABRINA
(rolls her eyes)
undahpants, undahpants,
undahpants…
