FUGAZI - "13 songs"

SCORE:
7/10 (GREAT/INNOVATIVE)
As pioneers in the hardcore scene of Dc, Fugazi released several albums of politically fueled, fast, spazz rock throughout the 90's. Before they established themselves firmly as the best band in the scene, Fugazi released 2 EP's, which are similar to revolutionary indie punk, because they are; FRUNJ. Their 2 EP's comprise "13 Songs", and are often seen as the greatest and most original Fugazi releases. The first EP, "Fugazi", is "reggae" Fugazi with funky bass and spazzy drumming, stop. starts. My mom even likes it. "Margin Walker" is the real treat, giving the self-tited song a place as one of the super-noise rokc songs ever. Lyrics are personally political, calling for change in oneself. Although only about 7 of the 13 are really great songs, this release warrants superb listening.
RECOMMENDED CUTS: "Margin Walker", "Suggestion", "Waiting Room", "Burning Too", "And The Same"
