Born at Porbandar, West of India to Karamchand and Putlibai Gandhi.
Married Kasturba
First son, Harilal, was born in India.
Sailed from Bombay for England to study law
Returned to India.
Second son, Manilal, was born in India.
Sailed for South Africa to become lawyer for an Indian firm
Third son, Ramdas, was born in South Africa.
Fourth son, Devadas, was born. He was delivered by Gandhi, in South Africa.
Attacked and wounded by Indian extremist for settlement with General Smuts
Returned to India, leaving South Africa forever
Wife Kasturba died in detention at Aga Khan Palace at the age of 74
Assassinated by Nathuram Godse at Birla House, Delhi.
