The frame is made out of 2x4's and 2x6's. I've since added some more bracing and bolting.
Two level parking for $50
The MGA frame sits on top. It makes it easy to work on.
I have to store the A, my 1976 B and all the other car parts and tools on one side of a two car garage. The solution to this storage problem was to build a loft onto which the A frame can sit, and eventually the body can also be put on there. Once on, a hoist will be attached to the ceiling and can be used to raise and lower the body. The B can be parked underneath and can be moved out the the garage much more easily than before.
Before: everything was squeezed into one side of the garage. I had to pull the B out by hand to drive it, and I couldn't really work in the garage.
The solution: 2 level parking:
Now I have just enough room to work, and still drive the B. I just have to learn to stop using the B as a storage shelf.
