Buyer's guide
Here are some pictures of the A before it was taken apart. I guess that this gives a good guide as what some of the rust damage can look like on a A. All the body components here were eventually junked.
Here is the left rear door pillar. There isn't much metal left. The door pillar is made of wood, and the vertical portion of the rear tub is mostly fiberglass and air.
The rear of the tub wasn't in much better condition. The trunk floor, however, was in good condition and will be re-used. It was cut out before the rear tub was junked.
Not much left of the floors. This picture shows how the crossmembers were rotted out on the frame. In addition, next to the door pillar is where the frame was literally broken in half due to rust.
This is the front tub (leaning up against the wall. The lower left shows the rust damage to where the front fenders are bolted to. The front fenders had to be cut off with a saw.
