30 some years of slime and grime in the engine bay. I took out the radiator already. Accoring to the engine number, this appears to be the original motor. At least I have all the pieces. Even a couple of non-original, like the washer bag on the left inner fender.
Engine Rebuilding
Since I hope (foolishly?) that rebuilding the engine shouldn't be too hard (it does turn over), I'm saving this task for last. I figure that the bodywork will make or brake this project, so I want to do that first before sinking a lot of money into a rebuild.
The motor is currently stashed under my work bench. I turn it over by hand every couple of weeks by turning the flywheel. Hopefully this will keep it from freezing up.
