As a healthier alternative to regular fast food, Cultures at 505 University Avenue first opened its doors in 1995. The owner, Mr. Edward Jao, cleverly situated his business in an office tower, making it a popular pitstop for the business lunch crowd. As a catering service provider, the scope of this project is to develop an e-business for Mr. Jao to provide quick service and information to his customers.

Since the single chain at 505 University has not had any other aggressive marketing tactics, we as e-commerce students will enhance their customer service through web exposure. The proposed website will be an information venue about their catering service, and provide growth for the business. It will fulfill other primary objectives including, product selling and opportunities to advertise new and existing menus to a broader market. This project would combat competitive pressures from competitors including, "Fresh" and "Fit for Life"

The enhancement of the site will essentially generate an increased number of customers, as it will provide further information to both new and existing clients. We will take into consideration the "catering link" that Mr. Jao has proposed and include a downloadable menu, complete with prices and the restaurants'contact information as an additional service to the site. In response to Mr. Jao's request of not wanting an online catering form, we will implement this situation and provide a downloadable menu as an alternative method. This will provide similar benefits that of an online catering order form, but without the extra responsibility involved. We envision that the site will assist clients with decisions regarding their next event and/or occasions and provide them with all the essentials about the company. The site will have full details, as we will present links to "Company Information" ,"Menus", "Catering Service", "Directions","Contact Information" and "Downloads" for an easy access, one-stop service.

The proposed e-business, will not only provide further details regarding their catering service, but it will also create a business that will increase the company's profit, and maintain, if not better its current catering market status. Being awarded with "Most Sales" against other Cultures chain in Ontario, we will produce a competitive site that will assuredly be worthy of credit from web developers on a professional level. Thus, the main goal of this project is to help maintain Mr. Jao's restaurant identity for having the most sales and an expansion towards customer service via the Internet.
