A Mother's Service To God *
Most mothers don't realize their full value
Or the merit God places on the job they do.
For the huge responsibility of nurturing children
Requires a woman who's dedicated and true.
And if that woman really loves her Lord
Her daily list is more than just mundane chores,
For every task she does in love for her family
Becomes service for the One she adores.
Then when she mops the floor on bended knee
That clean floor is an offering to God above.
And every time she gives up her own "wants" for others
It's a sacrifice seen by God above.
When she tells her children the truths of God
And makes sure they learn of Him right from the start,
She becomes a teacher in her own mission field
And she's precious to God's very heart.
Yes, the job of being a mother is hard
And it can cost more energy than most can afford.
But to the Christian mother, devoted to God
It is service she does for her Lord.
