THE PEOPLE

I can't speak for everybody, however, I can make a general statement that most
people in California are very layed back.  Just like the northeast is known for
a very fast paced, "everybody for themselves" society, its welcoming to know that
in this country, there is still a place where people can relax and take their time.  Nobody
is in a race, and the world can wait.  There are only a few things that actually merit the stress
 and anxiety that most people put on everyday tasks.  Californians, in general, realize this.

THE CITY

Where else can you go skiing, and surfing in the same day, other than southern california. 
Located in sunny Los Angelas, USC is only a short drive away from both the beach, and
many popular ski resorts.  LA offers an incredible variety of entertainment options.  No
matter what interests you, you will find it in Los Angelas.  If it is rock music, you can listen
to new up and coming bands at some of the first places that the doors played in LA.
If you would rather listen to bands that are already established, look up the grocery
list of bands playing at the staples center.  From music to comedy clubs, LA has it all. 
The climate is like no other in so-cal.  Sunny in the summer, and pleasant winter.  LA is a big city,
but it still manages to keep its own individuality.  Unlike metropolises such as New York,
Boston, and Chicago, LA is not a concrete jungle, but a big city in the middle of paradise.

THE SCHOOL

USC is routinely ranked in the top fifty medical schools by the 'US NEWS' magazine.   It is
mostly known for its primary care education, and is not a very big research university.
USC is a private school, making it easier for non California residents to get in, however,
the majority of USC medical students are California residents.  I really like this school, and think
that anyone interested in medecine should definately look into this school.
