I am an artist And a Christian. Here is How I can Be Both. In Genisis Chapter One when God is Ceating the Universe, (or at least the part of it We can detect), He speaks things into existance. He just gives the order "LET IT BE", and it is. No sweat. He is that good. But when it comes to the part about making Human Beings, It is Different. Maybe it's because the Bible is written for us, mankind, (and that in itself is signifigant) But the Bible says that God "formed" Man. Everything else was created, spoken from nothing. We were formed from the dust of the ground. The Implication, though not specificly stated, is that God sculpted us with HIS HANDS. God says "Let's do it." Then He actively shapes something pre-existing (the Dust of the Ground) into something else (our bodies). Adam and Eve were God's Self-portrait. That is what the Bible means when it says "In the Image of God created he Them". Then, as a finishing touch,a "coup de grace", God gets right down in our face, and- get this- (are you sitting down?) God breathes HIS OWN Life force right into our nostrils. (Gen. 2:7) God had implanted all the genetic code for each living thing in the first one. For example, The first Rose had all the Genetic Information for ALL futre roses, regardless of sub-species. it was the same with every living thing He made. With mankind, Not only were we put in charge of the other life forms, because as God's Self portrait with his life force in us, we were his lieutenants,so to speak. The first Humans caried the physical AND mental AND Spiritual Genetics for the whole Human Race. So when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they hacked into the genetic code for the portait. They created a deadly virus that killed God's Image in Humanity. God gave them free will, and they used it to kill the divine life force of You and Me. Yes. You too. That Face in the mirror.You are a descendant of Adam and Eve, a potential Iheritor the now dead and courupted Genetic Code. Me Too. THE REPAIR A personal Death of God's life Force in a Human, can only be fixed by the Personal Death of God in a Human Body. That's Why He PESONALY came down and became one of us. He Became the problem, did Himself in by our Hands, then Because He was God, reversed Death Itself, and conquered it. When he says in Romans 10:9 (speaking through Paul) to Believe he is LORD and that God (He himself) Raised him from the Dead- Shouldn't You? If I am wrong about this, I have nothing to loose. If I am Right- I have Jesus and all his promises in the Bible to Gain! I Belive there is nothing so Dangerous and world changing as a person with nothing to loose, and everything to gain! Do you want to change the world? Do You want to be Dangerous? Confess That Jesus is YOUR Lord and that God raised Him from the Dead. Ask Him to Forgive you for not having done so, with your mouth. Believe all this with your Heart, and let it affect You. Get out your Bible, Read It, Live It, and talk to God about it everyday. You have nothing to loose that is REALY worth keeping!
