In the middle of 1990, a 10th grade student, Mehedee, got influenced by band music so much and he started thinking about forming a band of his own. He bought an acustic guitar and collected some books, videos and started goofing around with those. He had no teacher what so ever.
Early 1991 some of his school freinds got interested about forming a band also. So Mehedee started giving them ideas but the biggest downfall was at that time, NO INSTRUMENTS. Well, finally they managed some instruments and started practicing.
August 1992, they got serious and formed the band which they have been waiting for a long long time. At this point of view they didn't know who will play what. So tons of brain storming, finally they came up with a line up like this:

VINCENT - VOCALS
MEHEDEE - GUITARS
UTTOM - BASS
LELIN - KEYBOARD
BAPPI - BAND MANAGER

But no drummer. None of them wanted to play drums. Luckly, at a concert the met a guy who just came from Canada and Mehedee found out that he happens to be a drummer. His name was Turjo. After few get togethers, Turjo showed interest to join the band and the drummer problem was solved. Now, still the band had no name yet. So after lots of argument, food throwing, beating each other finally they came up with a name for the band which was:

Their favourite music catagory was hard rock.
1993 Janyary 1st, they did their first gig in a music school in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Even though their music type was hard rock but they did HOTEL CALIFORNIA of Eagles and they were the first band in Bangladesh who did this song LIVE. After that, they did lots of gigs here and there. Their biggest gig was in 1995 May at an auditorium in Narayangonj.
And that was the last gig they ever did so far because Mehedee left Bangladesh in June 1995 and went to U.S.A. At that time the band activities were stopped. Vincent left Bangladesh June 1996 and went to U.S.A for his education. Vains was dead.
In U.S.A, Mehedee and Vincent have changed the band's name and the band's new name has an ashy feeling, and the name is:

Mehedee and Vincent left Bangladesh but they didn't quit music. And they still thinking about coming back to Bangladesh and start music and this time everything will be different. First thing would be working on their own album. And to do much better music than before. Now everything depending on the future. And most probably there will be little change in the line up. So lets wish for CHROME ASH the best and hope they keep their words.
