Keeping It Real
Chapter 5: Walking Behind

3 months later... I can't believe it. Bob is back.

"Hi," I hugged him as I visited their house, one Saturday morning. "Welcome back."

"Thanks." Bob replied as he hugged me back. I think he grew some inches since we've last seen each other.

"Nice to see you," I whispered as I controlled the tears, stinging out of my eyes..

"You, too" he replied back. Then, he stepped back I think he was planning to give me a kiss on the cheek but Dave appeared from the kitchen.

"Oh, if it isn't for the loveydovies," he chimed with a glass of orange juice on his hand.

I laughed. "Hi, Dave. Nice to see you. You look great." I patted him on the back. Yeah, Dave looked cuter now.

"Thanks," Dave blushed, then he take a look at me. "You look great, too. The atmosphere must have done something for you." Dave joked as he looked down on my girly outfit, not my usual, jeans and shirt stuffs.

"Nah, I decided to go for some change," I joked.

"Well, I hope you haven't changed deep within," Bob mused.

I just laughed.

"Well, I'll be just outside," Dave smiled at us, as he motioned to move toward their garden.

"Ok." I turned to Bob, "Anyway, how's the trip? I mean, the tour?" I asked as we settled down on the soft, cushion seats.

"It's great, the fans are wild, every where we go, there's this gush of girls kissing us, waving at us, shrieking like crazy, I don't know," Bob laughed. "Then, the food, it's great. It's different from one another. We love it. Also the hotels, it's beautiful, unique from one another."

"Well, it's nice to hear that," I laughed, too. "You enjoyed it."

"Yeah, so how are you?"

"Well," I smiled knowingly. "As you all ready know, Ray and I are still dating. We've been together for like almost 3 months now."

Bob rolled his eyes. "Yeah! Yeah! Ray Mulik here, there and every where..."

"Huh? C'mon, he's nice and all that," I mused.

"Whatever," Bob smiled. "So, besides him, what are you up to?"

"Well, sometimes, me and the gang, you know, the girls, we hang out at the club and we dance the night away. We also go to the mall for some window shopping," I answered.

"With make ups and dresses?" Bob guessed.

"You're right!" I clapped. "Absolutely! The girls love it. I don't know. I've learned many things from them. Stuffs I've never knew before."

"Like what?" Bob wants to know.

"Oh, well, there are some things for me to know and for you to find out," I teased.

"C'mon, get real," Bob tickled me on the sides. "Tell me more."

"Hey, stop it!" I urged him to stop tickling me. It doesn't seem so right at the time but Bob seem to tickle me, still. "Hey, I said, stop it!" I laughed, still keeping my poise.

"Ok, ok, sorry," he apologized with a laugh. "It's just that well, I missed you."

"I missed you, too," I softly replied back. Then, we hugged again.

Then, I realized he's still wearing the necklace I gave him 3 months ago. I felt touched coz somehow he still remembers me. I felt a little bit guilty coz I'm not wearing the bracelet that he gave me. The girls said I should get rid of it, coz you know, it doesn't seem to get along with my outfit. Instead, I replaced it by wearing the silver bracelet that Ray had given me for our first month together.

Suddenly aware, I decided to let him not to notice my wrist but it's too late, he noticed as we pulled back. "So, you're not wearing the stuff I gave you."

I gulped. "Yeah. I'm sorry, Bob, but I kept it inside my treasure box. I looked at it every once in a while."

"So, who gave that to you?" he asked, referring to the silver thing on my wrist.

"It's just Ray," I talked as if it doesn't really matter. "For our first month anniversary. Haven't I told you that on the phone or e-mail?"

"Oh, no," he replied icily like the way I've heard him on the phone, months back. "That's so sweet of him, huh?"

"Yeah," I giggled. "He really knows how to tickle my fancy."

"But I thought you never like jewelry?"

"Oh? Do I?" I asked. "I must have forgotten. Anyway, I'm liking it now. You know, as we grow up, we learn to like some new things," I explained.

"Ok," Bob mumbled. "Whatever you say."

Well, I never know how to explain this but I have a feeling for the past 3 months, Bob and I grew together, somewhat... apart.
