Mon./Tues., April 13/14: We took more notes on the Debate Handout (get them from another student), and we did more practice on preparing briefs. Be sure you have turned your Debate Propositions homework. I collected it before spring break, but a few of you have not, given it to me, and I need them to put you on a team!) (We continued the persuasion interviews when necessary.)
Wed.-Fri., April 15-17:
Get three Debate Brief Handouts (Blank Brief, Sample Marijuana Brief, Brief Directions). I also assigned teams and propositions, and we began working on creating the actual briefs to take to the library next week. I also passed out and discussed a handout on how to make notecards for the debates; be sure to get one from me ASAP. (We continued the persuasion interviews when necessary.)

Mon. - Friday, April 20-24: Debate research time in the LIBRARY. I will officially check your brief and notecards next Monday/Tuesday.

Mon./Tues., April 27/28: I checked and graded your brief and notecards for the First Check. We continuted preparing for the debates.
Wed./Thurs., April 29/30: We took more notes on the DEBATE Handout; get them from another student. the Second Check of Briefs and Cards will be on Friday/Mon.
Friday, May 1: I did the second, and final, check of your Brief and Notecards. We also took the last notes on the DEBATE Handout (over Cross-Examination); get them from another student.

Monday, May 4: I did the second, and final, check of your Brief and Notecards. We also took the last notes on the DEBATE Handout (over Cross-Examination); get them from another student.
Tues.-Thursday: Final Debate Preparation and Dress Rehearsals.
                      
  Here is the schedule for the Debates and Debate TEST:
Block 6: FINAL DEBATES and/or DEBATE HANDOUT TEST begin on Friday, May 8.
Block 7: FINAL DEBATES and/or DEBATE HANDOUT TEST begin on Tues., May 12.
