James “Skip” Adams (choir director) is a fourteen year veteran chorus teacher here at MHS.  He graduated from Hartt School of Music with his B.M. in music education and received his M.M. vocal performance degree from Boston Conservatory.  Mr. Adams freelanced as a performer for several years and was the artist in residence at Raritan Valley Community College where he taught several voice classes.   Mr. Adams commits his time to creating wonderful sets for MHS music theatre productions and is also in charge of sound and lights.  Mr. Adams began his interest in set building and stage production while he was in high school and has been doing a great job leading his crew in continuing his interest.  In addition to being a seasoned performer and tech director, Mr. Adams was also the recipient of the Governor’s Teachers Recognition Award (teacher of the year) in May 2000.

 

 

Vincent A. Inciong (band director) graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook with an M.M. (Masters of Music) Percussion Performance degree in May 2001.  In his time at Stony Brook University, Mr. Inciong has played regularly with the Contemporary Chamber Players, Graduate Orchestra, and the University Percussion Ensemble.  Before attending Stony Brook University, Mr. Inciong attended William Paterson University where he graduated in May 2000 with a B.M. Music Education degree.  In his time at William Paterson University,  Mr. Inciong performed regularly with the renowned New Jersey Percussion Ensemble, the William Paterson University Percussion Ensemble, and 20th Century Chamber Ensemble.  He has also performed with several orchestras including the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra, the William Paterson University Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Virtuosi.  Along with being a performer, Mr. Inciong is also a conductor and composer and has been heavily involved in the singer/songwriter community in central Jersey.  Mr. Inciong has been the Director of Bands at MHS since September 2001.
