Mary Karr's three volumes of poetry are Viper Rum (New Directions), The Devil's Tour, and Abacus. Her poems and essays have won Pushcart prizes and have appeared in such magazines as The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and Parnassus. Her memoir, The Liar's Club, was a New York Times bestseller for more than a year and was selected as one of the best books of 1995 by many periodicals, including The New Yorker, Time, People, and Entertainment Weekly.
