That makes the game 7 to 9 Denver. Griese is on the money tonight and passes to Rod Smith who finishes the play on the 2-yard line with a 52-yard pass. Portis goes to run in the TD when the ball is knocked out my Jason Taylor and Miami recovers on the ball on the 1-yard line. Chris Chambers goes up for a pass and is speared helmet to helmet by number 28 Kenedy who was fined $10,000 last week for a helmet to helmet hit. Chambers is still down, bad news for Dolphin fans. He is moving his legs a little but he is hurt bad. Chambers is getting up very slowly, this doesn't look good at all. He is taken to the lockeroom on the cart and he doesn't seem to know where he is. Fiedler throws an interception to D-Lineman Reagur. Jason Elam kicks his 4th field goal of the game, but wait there is a flag down. Holding against Denver and the 3 points will be taken off of the board because that was the last play of the half and there was a penalty.
3rd Quarter: Fielder is stuck and fumbles the ball for his second turnover in two quarters. The very next play Sam Madison intercepts Griese's plass in the endzone for a touch back, but it will be challenged. Play is challenged because the ball hit the groud and Madison wasn't in control of the ball, play is overturned and Denver gets the ball back. That is Denver's second challenge of the game leaving them with no more challenges. Jason Elam comes on the field and this one will count for his 4th field goal of the game. 7 to 12 Denver even though Denver has not scored a touch down. McKnight is down on the field and hurt. He gets up and walks off the field with a cheer from the Denver crowd. He will be fine and will return. Ricky can't get anywhere tonight because Denver keeps busting through our O-Line almost every time Ricky gets the ball.
4th Quarter: Madison grabs Griese's pass to make up for the interception he was denied ealier. Hand off to Ricky, reverse to McKnight. McKnight is running, he is running and brought down at the 10-yard line. That sets up the touch down scored by who else, Ricky. Miami finally takes the lead 13 to 12 and we are going to go for two! Flag down false start on McKnight, so we will have to settle for one, score 14 to 12 Miami. Patrick Surtain (Now pronounced Sur-Tan) picks-off Griese's pass and runs it back for a Touch Down! Miami now up 21 to 12. Jason Taylor is all over Griese tonight. Maybe it is because he needs more money for his new baby that is on it's way. Griese throws the ball in the end zone with 3:40 on the clock the ball is not caught and Brock Marion is called with a B.S. pass interference call. Next play Griese throws his first TD of the night to Mike Anderson. Fiedler is sacked with 2 minutes to go and Miami is forced to punt the ball. Surtain gives up 40 yards in two plays and may have lost the game for Miami. Elam is 4 for 4 tonight and this one will be from 55-yards and it is good, but it's not over yet. Dedric Ward makes a game saving catch, almost intercepted. Mare comes and kicks a 53-yard field goal, flag down. 15-yard penalty will be assested to the kickoff, whew!
