Salmon Patty 1 can pink salmon, 14.75 oz 2 eggs 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion 1/4 cup green bell peppers 1/4 cup self-rising flour (1 cup) for dipping 1/4 tsp white pepper 1/4 tsp salt (optional) 2 cups vegetable oil 1 large skillet, 8 inches 1. Place vegetable oil in skillet on medium high. 2. Drain and flake salmon, reserving liquid. 3. Mix together all ingredients. Form the shape of a hamburger patty. 4. Place salmon patty into flour and coat patty. 5. Place patty into skillet, brown on both sides. 6. Let salmon drain on paper towel, to remove excess oil. Can be served for breakfast or lunch. Note :: You can also use crab meat in place of the Salmon and call them crab cakes :) I know this sounds gross, but Regina and I used to dip our salmon patties in white Karo syrup. |
