Game Info
-Stealth redefined.  Xbox fans cheered for this once exclusive game, but now gamers are open to it on the GCN and PS2.  Ubi Soft says these ports might actually be better, because of some minor changes.  Splinter Cell is an amazing game to play and not one to miss.

Gameplay: A
Sam Fisher has some really amazing moves.  Though some are hard to pull off, they can be quite helpful.  Stealth is put before shoot first, ask questions later.  You can sneak up on a guard, and interrogate them, or push them to a retinal scanner to open a door.  Once you're done with them, you can knock them out and hide them in the shadows.  There are some noticeable improvements from the Xbox version, like the Gameboy Advance connectivity features.  You can use the new OPSAT device on the Gameboy to look for guards and take control of gun turrets.   This may sound like it makes the game easier, but it really doesn't.  You still have to know how to get the past the guards and how to get close enough to the gun turret so you can deactivate it.  The Gameboy feature allows for some small co-op action, which is nice.

Graphics: A-
Amazing.  Though some shadow effects and textures have been toned down from the Xbox version, Splinter Cell still looks great.   No real framerate problems, either.

Sound: A
Great music and voice-acting.  Even when not in a cutscene, the character's mouths move to the exact word they are saying.  It's really top-quality.

Challenge: B
The Gameboy can help at times, but not really.  Splinter Cell is still very hard, and trying to figure out where the guard will go or where you should go next is still a challenge.

Replay: C
Replay is mainly completing the game over again.  The normal game takes about 15 hours to beat, with 9 huge missions total.

Overall: 92%
"Not long enough to buy, but still all the freedom in the game makes you want to buy it."
