Grand Army of the Republic Members

The Grand Army of the Republic , (G.A.R.) for short, was a big part of the soldiers lives after the civil war. It is a descendant of the American Legion of today. This is also one of the ways that I managed to trace some of the 2nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry.
