Dedicated to Ltc. Charles “Chuck” Beasley

Commander of the 120AG Battalion

Ft. Jackson, South Carolina

August of 1989

Ltc. Beasley is the epitome of the professional officer needed to lead our young soldiers into combat.

Ltc. Charles Beasley

In a war forgot he was a green beret,

To fight the enemy for freedom’s way.

As an “A Team Commander” he was the best,

The CIB, he wears proudly on his chest.

His courage and valor proven in the field,

His ethics and morals he would never yield.

A bronze star with a “V” the colonel would earn,

In a war where you died quickly if you didn’t learn.

From Bull Simons to the Gunfighter, he knew them all,

We have one thing in common, we answered the call.

Let it be from the sky or the water, he likes to dive,

Whether it be in the jungle or garrison, he can survive.

To the 120th He came like a breath of fresh air,

He set the standards, to always be fair.

To the recruiting command he will proudly serve,

To soon wear the eagles he so rightly deserves.
