My Love, My Wife
Please
love me my wife, be by my side;
I
feel the pain so real, I cannot hide.
At
times you think I do not care,
I
know it’s wrong, I know it’s not fair.
Hold
me tight as I shed my tears,
I
need to tell you of my innermost fears.
Please
forgive me when I do wrong,
With
you beside me I can be strong.
When
the darkness comes and the rains fall,
My
ghosts appear sounding their beckoning call.
When
nightmares replace my pleasant dreams,
I
wake up quickly to my own screams.
On
nights I can’t sleep I sit and stare,
At
you my love for whom I care.
As
I fight the memories of that awful war,
I
thank God I have you forever more.
