My Pride

I am an American, my heart filled with pride,

My love for my country comes from deep inside.

You may disagree with me and say I’m wrong,

The right to protest is what makes her strong.

Freedom’s are privileges in this our land,

We have defended them in the jungles and now the sands.

Burn our flag if you must, but remember well,

In most of the world the price would be a cell.

The cost of freedom is very high,

Many an American had to die.

My country America, the home of the brave,

May the Stars & Stripes forever wave.
