The Black Beret

Rangers always lead the way,

Proving they’re the best day after day.

Not just a pro but above the rest,

Made even more special by the wings on their chest.

What makes them special is hard to say,

Some just leave it to the Black Beret.

Their not immortal or ten feet tall,

But we know inside they will give their all.

Many have died in battle, wars since past,

But their memories live on, to forever last.

Whenever you talk of those that died,

They were American Rangers to be remembered with pride.

They mean a lot to me, the Beret and Scroll,

As do the men honored on that Washington Knoll.

Their names engraved on marbled stone,

Forever remembered, never to be alone.
