Grieving
I sit listening to others tell of their personal grief,
Their sadness and anger is beyond belief.
Whether it be divorce, loss of spouse, daughter or son,
The grieving process is never done.
The hurt is unreal as is the pain,
Why things like this happen no one can explain.
You ask yourself why, what did I do wrong?
You are not to blame, in this belief be strong.
No matter the loss it’s alright to cry,
You must get on with your life; you must give it a try.
As we all know life isn’t always fair,
But we must never lose our ability to care.
Remember the good times or that special touch,
It’s important to remember those that meant so much.
It’s impossible to forget even after many a year,
It’s bound to happen so shed some tears.
If your belief is in God or whatever the case,
Would they want you to suffer if they could take your place?
You can still go on; you can keep on giving,
So go on with your life, go on living.
