Objective

I would like the opportunity to contribute to the success of an organization by installing, maintaining and supporting AIX, OS/400 and z/OS system software.

Systems Management

Analyze system modification and customization requirements and implement strategic solutions

Audit system software usage and remove if no longer utilized

Carry out capacity planning functions on processor, memory and Input/Output resources

Create SMPE and non-SMPE maintenance requirements, procedures and environments

Customize and configure UNIX environment on z/OS

Design GRS configuration and PARMLIB library structure for shared z/OS environments

Develop and give technical presentations at SHARE and user groups on CSV, DAF, GRS and SMF

Ensure systems are optimally tuned using B&B, MXG, Omegamon, RMF, Strobe and TMON

Identify and resolve problems with hardware, procedures and software

Implement hardware changes utilizing HCD, IOCP and MVSCP

Improve overall system availability and reliability through continual quality improvement

Install, maintain and support CICS, DB2, NCP, z/OS and program products from IBM and ISVs

Perform migrations of CICS, COBOL, DB2, DPF, ISPF, JES2, LE, TCPIP, TSOE and z/OS,

Proficient in Assembler, C, CLIST, COBOL, DYL, EARL, Fortran, ISPF DM, PL1, REXX, Shell Script

Provide technical support to application programming, computer operations and end users

Systems Development

Develop and maintain z/OS based freeware System Programmer productivity tools

CSV – Interactive LPA, LPALST and LNKLST analysis

DAF – Batch dataset activity analysis

GRS – Interactive enqueue analysis

Develop and maintain a File Transfer System (FTS)

FTS transfers files between z/OS and OS/400

FTS utilizes CA-7, CICS, IDMS, ISPF, LU 6.2, RACF and TSO facilities

FTS is written in Assembler and exploits ATTACH, ENQ/DEQ, ESTAE and SVC 99 services
