STORYBOARD

Charley Brewster is a normal teenager who lives in the town of Rancho Corvalis.  He's devoted to his mom, his girlfriend Amy and his red '68 Mustang.  He watches "Fright Night Theater" on television, and he hates pop quizzes.  Even Charley's problems--algebra and Amy's determined virginity--are nothing out of the ordinary for a 17-year-old boy.  As a matter of fact, there's only one thing about Charley that's a little bit strange--he thinks a vampire has moved into the house next door.  And he's right. Needless to say, Charley is having a hard time getting anybody to believe him.  His mom thinks he needs some cocoa and a Valium to help him sleep, and Amy's sure he's been watching too many horror movies.  Evil Ed Thompson, Charley's snickering, ghoul-wise schoolmate, recommends garlic and crucifixes, while Peter Vincent, the former horror-film star to whom Charley turns for help, views the poor kid's delusion as a way to make a few easy dollars.  Only suave and sinister neighbor, Jerry Dandridge, takes Charley seriously.  Jerry's trying to make sure that Charley stops telling stories.  Permanently. Columbia Pictures presents a Vistar Films Production of a Tom Holland Film, "Fright Night," starring Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall, William Ragsdale, Amanda Bearse, Stephen Geoffreys, Dorothy Fielding, Art J.
