A DragonBallZ Novel
Disclaimer: You all know I don't own DragonBall Z or any of it's characters! And I never will :( So what's the point? Ah well. Here goes...
Videl, a usually tough, upbeat, and bossy young lady, had tears running down her face as Gohan, her soon-to-be "boyfriend" was training nearby. He hadn't noticed her crying since she was so quiet and motionless. After a few midair punches and kicks, he did a back-flip in the air and looked down at her. Shocked to see a couple of tears on her face, he landed softly next to her and sat down.
W...what's the matter, Videl? What's bugging you? You can tell me...," Gohan asked in a comforting voice.
Videl sighed deeply and wiped away the tears forming in her eyes. She hadn't been crying
that much...in fact, she didn't even know that she had tears running down her cheeks.
"Oh...sorry, Gohan. I was just thinking about...," she blushed. "Some things. You can go back to training." She sighed again, feeling a little better to hear his voice. 'He's so nice... I wonder what he'd do if I told him about...my...
problem,' she thought.
"...Well...ok Videl. I mean, if you're sure," the teenage Saiyan said slowly.
"Yeh...I'm sure." She smiled up at him, her eyes shining radiantly.
'Wow she's pretty!,' thought Gohan. " Ok, Videl. Call me if you need anything! When you're feeling better, you can come up and train with me ok?" He said this out loud.
" Alright, but expect a challenge," Videl said to him, half smirking to make him stop worrying so much. She knew, if she was fighting him for real, that she'd lose terribly, but she wasn't. She sighed quietly in relief.
Gohan gave her a little wave and flew back up into the sky to continue training. 'Wonder why she was crying,' he thought. "Hmmm...maybe she's...uh...well I can't even
think of a reason why she'd cry! It's a beautiful day out here!' He looked around at the field aways from his house where he had taught Videl to fly.
"Hey Gohan," Videl suddenly yelled, standing up with her hands cupped around her mouth. "Where's Goten?! He said he'd meet us here an hour ago!!"
Gohan looked down at her and shouted,"Wow, Videl! I forgot he was supposed to he here!" He looked around. 'Now where could that little rascal be...,' he wondered.

The two boys were in their fighting positions about ten feet apart from eachother, allowing one another to a moment to catch their breath.
"So...,"Trunks panted. "You've been training a bit? You seem stronger...you've lasted
this long."
"Yeh, I've had a little training from Go...OH NO!!! I was supposed to meet Gohan and Videl at my house,"Goten cried, his arms up and his hands in his wild Goku-like hair.
"Oh darn, Goten! C'mon let's go. Oh yeh, I'll be right back...I have to tell Mom and Dad where I'm goin'!" With that, Trunks jet into his house leaving Goten outside pacing.
"Hey Trunks! You're just in time to taste the new soup I've invented,"said an excited Bulma.
"Uh...well ya know I'd love to Mom, but...uh...I'll try it when I get back from Goten's place...ok?,"Trunks said nervously. His mother was a pretty bad cook as it was and he wasn't about to go and taste something she'd
invented!
Vegeta knew she was a bad cook and had already tried to escape several times, but failed. He was sitting at the dinner table with a worried look on his face. He looked at Trunks and said,"I think I'll go too. I need a good match with Kakarott anyway."
"Oh know you don't, silly,"Bulma exclaimed. "You absolutely
have to try this!" She smiled at him. "Ok, Trunks! Have fun!"
        "
Don't leave me,"Vegeta mouthed to his son with a horrified look on his face.
"Bye, Mom..." Trunks walked to the door and smirked at his father. "Bye
Pops,"he said in an annoying voice. He was real happy to escape his Mom's cooking.
Vegeta moaned and slouched back in his chair, crossing his arms and looking pouty. He sighed and did his usual "Hrmmph."

As Vegeta tasted something that was almost as bad as fighting Frieza, elsewhere Videl's father was posing in front of a mirror for another day of getting his picture taken.
"YEEE-AAAH! I am the Great HERCULE!! The best Martial Artist in the UNIVERSE!" He posed some more. The Z Fighters
knew that this big dope wasn't the strongest at Martial Arts. Trunks had beaten him in a tournament match, but since he was so famous, he covered that up quickly. His fans are either the most stupid humans on Earth, or hopelessly brain-washed!
Just then, one of Hercule's many butlers came in. "Good evening, Mr. Hercule Sir! Are you ready to go?"
"Yeh, yeh. I'm ready. Where's Videl?! She was sitting right there an hour ago!"
"Oh yes Sir. I saw that Great SaiyaMan character fly away with her."
        "
WHAT?!! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!!!"
        "I'm s-sorry, Sir! I t-tried, but you just wouldn't l-listen..."
        "
VIDEL!!!, Hercule yelled angrily. He ran outside and jumped into his limo. "Drive!,"he shouted at the chauffer.
The chauffer slammed on the gas. "Um...Sir?,"he said slowly. "Where
exactly are we going?!"
"To the police station to tell them to find Videl and arrest SaiyaMan. Then go to the Picture Palace. That kid's not stopping me from going to see my fans!," he informed.
        "Y-yes, Sir."
